  • 6. Contributing Member of the School Community
    • The greatest agents of change in classrooms at West Charlotte are those that belong to teachers who consistently integrate themselves in the school community.

    • Consistently rated “Above Standard” by school principal in terms of school leadership and school community involvement
    • Serve as Student Government Advisor, Freshmen, Sophomore, and Senior Class Advisor
    • Mentor and advise juniors and seniors throughout the graduation project

    I strongly believe that my greatest strength has been to align students, faculty, parents, and community together so that we can ultimately improve student achievement.

    • To see the light that gleams from my students’ eyes when they finally grasp a concept excites me. I strive to be prepare my students not to just be great mathematicians. I have taught my students to ask questions, and not to just accept what is given to them. This has ultimately changed the way they think…not just about math, but life in general.
