PURPOSE OF PRESENTATION
The purpose of this presentation is to:
Share my mission statement.
Explain the name of my company and what it means to me.
Share the challenges of my target market.
Share how Beyond Your Horizons plans to help their clients.
BEYOND YOUR HORIZON(BYH) MISSION STATEMENT
BYH's mission is to assist women of
color to passionately pursue their
professional goals and obtain financial independence leading to a healthier, happier and balanced lifestyle.
WHAT DOES “HORIZON” MEAN?
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The horizon (Ancient Greek , /ho horídzôn/,
from , "to limit") is the apparent line that
separates earth from sky.
More precisely, it is the line that divides all of the
directions one can possibly look into two categories: those which intersect the Earth's surface, and those which do not.
At many locations, the true horizon is obscured by nearby trees, buildings, mountains and so forth. The resulting intersection of earth and sky is instead described as the visible horizon.
BYH REPRESENTS
Beyond Your Horizons represents the “TRUE” horizon that divides all of the directions one can possibly look, which are two categories:
those which intersect the Earth's surface
and those which do not.
CLIENT CHALLENGES
I’ve done research and group facilitation with over 300 African American women during employment with Women’s Employment Resources Corporation (WERC); while working on my B.A. in Human Development and Community Services studies at Western Institute for Social Research (WISR); and becoming a Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner.
What I’ve found is that there are four things that cause major problems in the body and spreads like a dis-ease in one’s life. These are resentment, criticism, guilt, and fear. These feelings come from blaming others and not taking responsibility for one’s own experiences.
RESENT, CRITICISM, GUILT & FEAR

Resentment that is held long can eat away at the body and become the dis-ease we all call cancer.
Criticism as a permanent habit can often lead to arthritis in the body.
Guilt always looks for punishment, and punishment creates pain.
People create unacceptable and damaging stresses every day when they react to imagined fears and other outside forces (mostly imagined and encouraged through media, society and other subliminal messages) and overrides their own priorities, desires, and beliefs.

BLURRED VISION
At many locations, the true horizon is obscured by nearby trees, buildings, mountains and so forth. The obscuring in the picture personify the challenges and blockage the clients are having that impede them from reaching their goals and living their dreams.
(see blurred the picture above)
CLIENT SOLUTION
BYH helps the client free the mind, body and spirit of stress and models how a one can take 100% responsibility for how they think, feel and act. Then their life's horizon becomes less blurred, goals become clearly defined and all boundaries as to what a person can achieve is unlimited by space and time.
