  • 2. <ul><li>The Florida Panther is a subspecies of the cougar, a large cat that once roamed from the Yukon to the tip of South America but now is extinct throughout much of its former range. The Florida panther lives in forests, mountains, scrub lands, open woods, and plains. The colour of Florida panther is grey, brown, and white. </li></ul><ul><li>Florida Panther is the only large cat living in the wild east of the Mississippi. </li></ul>DESCRIPTION

  • 8. SOLUTIONS <ul><li>Saving Florida panthers from extinction will require efforts on a number of fronts: </li></ul><ul><li>habitat preservation </li></ul><ul><li>genetic restoration </li></ul><ul><li>reintroduction of captive-bred panthers to the wild. </li></ul>
