  • Attendance
    • Absences – a written or emailed note needs to be sent within 2 days of the absence.
      • Please note our new ADA clerk is [email_address]
    • Make-up work- for each day out you will have the same number of days to complete the missed assignment.
    • Excessive tardiness will result in a “U” on the report card.

  • Supplies
    • Book covers, school supplies, water bottles, snacks, birthday treats, donated items
    • Textbooks will primarily be used as independent practice and reference in the classroom.
    • Interactive notebooks-students will maintain and use a spiral notebook to contain all instructional materials and practice work done in Math and Science.
      • The Interactive Science Notebook (ISN) is intended to help organize the student’s learning materials and ideas.
      • They will be periodically collected and checked. Items in the Interactive notebook may be graded.
  • Grades and Curriculum
    • Total grades given-
      • Math (8), Science (6), Health (3)
    • Pre and Post Math Assessments
      • Pre Assessments not taken for a grade
      • Used by me to differentiate instruction for the students
    • Fact Frenzy – weekly math fact drill practice
    • Study Hall – study hall will be provided twice a week during recess in order to complete unfinished assignments .
  • Expectations
    • Homework –will be assigned on Tuesdays and Thursdays . It will be due the next day unless otherwise specified. Homework assignments will be recorded in the agenda.
    • Students are expected to be responsible and write and turn in homework on a daily basis. If homework is not turned in on time, then one day will be given to return. On the third day, the student will be asked to complete the assignment in study hall.
    • Behavior: communication regarding behavior will be done via email, a note in the agenda, or by phone.
    • Friday folders- please review, sign and return on Monday!

      • Can be used by students and parents.
      • Online “courses” for a variety of software programs for both PC and Mac
