So they surrounded the placeand lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. They were quiet all night, saying, in the morning, when it is light, we will kill him. 3 But Samson lay until midnight, and [then] he arose and took hold of the doorsof the citys gate and the two posts, and pulling them up, bar and all, he put them on his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that is before Hebron. 4 After this he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah.5 And the lords of the Philistines came to her and said to her, Entice him and seein what his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him that we may bind him to subdue him. It is not out of the way to have negative passion, but it must bedealt with and get ridden of when discovered. And the only wayto be able to deal with it is TO TELL SOMEONE.
The best way todeal with negative passion is toexpose it, because it will continue to ignite the fire, set you ablaze and eventuallyexposes you when you try to cover it.
Col 3:5-75 Therefore put to death your members which areon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. Mistakes and errors committed as a result of ouruncontrolled or negative passion leaves an indelible mark and a scar in our lives that we will forever nurse and sometimes prevent us from fulfilling destiny
Even though your negative passions takes you to thedesert, however, God being who He His, never leave us but wants us to learnsomething while in thedesert in order for us to bounce back stronger
Even though the scar cantbe erased, you can make it look like a “Tattoo”
While in the desert some people begin to ask God “Why?, Why me?” “Why is this happening to me?” We must realize there are some questions God don’t answer. God want to ask the questions. Let us turn form asking God questions and focus on the questions God want to ask us. Isaiah 40:21-31 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Hath it not been told you from the beginning: Have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?* About His Mercy – The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all; and His tender mercies are overall his works.
* About His Glory* About His Love – He loved us so, so much that He gave His only son for us. There can be no greater love than that. The question is “What are we giving in return” Love given should be love received.” It should be give and take.* About His passion - it’s all available to us
Focus Your Passion and Love for GodPeople believe if you have money, you can geteverything else. People are convinced aboutmoney solving ALL their problems. If they justhad a certain amount of money. (More money…More problems)God’s mercy is the key to solving your problems.Matthew 6:25-34 Seek first His kingdom and allwill be given unto you.Tell someone seek God’s kingdom
• Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainted not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.• 40:29 He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increase their strength. • 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:• 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Tell someone . . . . • I will walk and not faint
• In the process of questioning, we are able to expose problems and our problems can be dealt with. Here in this part of the world we like to keep secrets until things are so far out of control and that is when we begin to call on God. Tell someone call on God every day. Don’t wait until the problem arises.• We’re suppose to be in His presence everyday• We’re suppose to talk to Him everyday• We’re suppose to rely on Him completely everyday• We’re suppose to Trust Him every day in spite of our current circumstances, in spite of the storms• We’re supposed to be intimate with God because the more we get to know Him, the more we’ll want to know Him. Tell someone “know Jesus”
God created us to be in arelationship with Himbecause of the passionHe has for His people. He has given us thefreedom to choosewhether to love Him orlive independently ofHim. One of the mostdevastating consequencesof our sins is that itbreaks God’s law and itbreaks God’s heart.
The Book of Job This book helps us to understand that SatanCANNOT bring financial and physical destructionupon us unless it is by God’s permission. God has power over what Satan can and cannot do.
Satan accuses God that Job was only faithful to Himbecause God blessed him. He insist Job only served God becauseGod protected him and he had a good life. God denied that it wastrue and gave Satan permission to test Job’s faith and loyalty. Job began to suffer, he lost his family (except his wife), hiswealth, and his health. The question is “why does the righteoussuffer? Job’s friends insisted that his tragedies were some type ofpunishment for his sins. Regardless, because of the love andpassion Job had for Christ he remained devoted. Job eventuallyquestioned God and learns a valuable lesson about the sovereigntyof God and his need to totally trust in the Lord. Job was restoredhis health, happiness, and prosperity beyond his earlier state. Remember God is the source when we are suffering and whenwe are not suffering. God doesn’t change. Tell someone.
It is beyond our human ability to understand the “why’s” behind all the suffering in the world. The wicked will receive their just dues. We cannot blame suffering and sin on our lifestyles. Suffering may sometimes be allowed in our lives to purify, test, and teach or strengthens the soul. God deserves our love and praise in spite of our current circumstances of life.
Being passionate about God and being in the right relationship doesn’t exempt us from problems, but it does enable us and give us strength to overcome them. Tell Someone Iwant a strong passionate intimate relationshipwith God. Tell someone I am passionate about God.
TELL SOMEONEGod is the answer to all our questions, and He is the answer to getting rid of negative passion. He is the answer to developing our passion. Tell Someone: God is “THE ANSWER”. God can restore whatever has been taken from you. We must realize that is God truly the missing ingredient in our lives. God is the Answer . . .Go and Tell Someone . . . Be Passionate about God.
