About Jonathan Berman began as a production and editorial assistant in the Big 80’s in NY, working on Pee Wee’s Playhouse, The Toxic Avenger 2, and on other genre, documentary and art film projects. Berman’s films have screened in arthouse cinemas, in festivals worldwide, and on international TV (in the US on Sundance, Showtime, Discovery, Public TV). He made his directorial debut with The Shvitz (The Steambath) a National Endowment for the Arts project about the last traditional urban saunas, which "reveals a fascinating subculture" (LA Weekly).
