13. Author's Notes
T his teaching will speak to you about a universal identity, a
universal experience, and a universal law. It belongs to, and applies to all
people in the world, without any exceptions of any kind. No one is beyond
the laws of God, and no one is beyond our shared identity.
Though truth is universal, it is impossible to express it without the
use of symbols. The symbols used in this book are many, and some are part
of one spiritual tradition and not part of another. The context and meaning of
these symbols is contained within the message. Any focus and comparison
of these symbols is nothing more than a game to delay your happy home
coming. Their only purpose is to lead to an awakening, which is far beyond
the symbols of the world.

14. Other Forms
The message in this book is one form of a universal teaching. There
are many other helpful forms and many other qualified teachers. All of them
share the purpose of spiritual awakening. Forms are always suited to
circumstance and to the level of a mind's readiness to awaken. Surely this
form will not serve everyone in the world, but it can serve you, if you let it. It
is not an accident that you are reading these words.
I support all teachings of love and union within every religion, in
every language, and in every form. I do however reject any and all teachings
that promote a fearful or a vengeful God. As well as any teachings that
induce seeking, fear, violence and separation of any kind. I do not reject
anyone who believes in such teachings. I reject only the teaching and simply
retain the right to choose what I would believe, teach and learn.
My Role
I am first and foremost your brother in the family of God. We are
perfect equals as souls. A teacher is never different from a student, we are
really one and the same. In this world, only time and experience stand in the
way of a common remembrance of a shared reality.
I do not want to be your teacher for any longer than is absolutely
necessary. The spirit that communicates through me is also in you. I ask
you to remember who you are, and to teach the world with me. I do not
strive for fame, I do not seek for praise from anyone. I desire only that the
world be made happy. This is my one and only mission on this earth.
What qualifies me as a teacher is simply that I have learned to
recognize who I really am. My joy and purpose is now in helping you to do
the same. If you feel thankful to me, remember that I am equally as thankful
to you.

17. Introduction
T here is a self in you that is not of this world. This self lives in
peace, in certainty, and in joy. This self is not bound to the laws of time and
space, or any law in which man believes. This self obeys only one law, the
law of love. This self is limitless, this self is one with God.
Spirit is the real and only you, but in the human condition you have
forgotten this. There is a way to remember, there is a way to know again.
When you remember this self you will live in peace, because you will know
there is nothing to fear. You will live a life that is endless, because you will
know there is no death. You will not perceive yourself as limited, because
you will know the power that is in you. This power will save you, and the
world through you. It will be the source of miracles to you and to the world.

18. You are not meant to seek for truth, It was created to be known,
experienced and shared. You can learn to remember it, rely on it, and live by
it. Truth will sustain you, comfort you, and offer you limitless gifts to offer to
your world.
As you begin reading this book you will soon realize that its message
is quite intensive. It is written in this way because it is intended to accelerate
time, and shorten your path to awakening. It is not a leisurely stroll through
spiritual realms, it is not a fairytale, it is serious business.
This is not a manual for how to be ”spiritual”, but a tool to realize you
are spirit. Its message is not just theory to be discussed and analyzed. It is
not for intellectual understanding. Its real meaning is in an experience, a
revelation, an awakening. It is a whole new purpose, a whole new vision of
yourself and of the world.
This message is complete, and has a very specific lesson as its only
goal. Learning it requires determination, honesty and above all, a willingness
to be open. The outcome of this learning is your reunion with peace, certainty
and a power that can move mountains.
This message is based entirely on just a handful of very simple but
very powerful concepts. These are repeated and expressed in many
different ways throughout. In the end, their simplicity and oneness will
become very apparent to you. Until then, some aspects may seem
unbelievable, and some quite impossible. At times you may even feel afraid,
but this fear is only of the unremembered. This fear is not yours in reality.
The ultimate goal of this book is to help reconnect you with the deep
wisdom and truth that is not just within you, but is you. This wisdom will
prepare your mind to consciously unite with your true self. To make this
choice you must learn only that you do not want to live apart. Once you are
prepared for this experience of union, it must reveal itself to you. It will do so,
because it is always here, and always now.
This awakening will show you that the world called “earth”“ is just a

19. dream, a world of illusion, a game of pretend. You are the dreamer of this
dream, choosing what to dream. You are the decider of what happens, you
are the chooser of your destiny on earth. Yet, you are far beyond this world
of dreams, and you have no limitations here, or anywhere.
This awakening is into union with God, union with your true self, and
union with the world you made. It will show you that all others are part of
your one self, and that you create the world as one. You will understand that
what you choose to give to another, you have given to yourself.
By your acceptance of this universal law, you will become aware of
the endless creative power God has shared with you. You will understand
that to make this power manifest in the world, the only thing you must do is
share it. This power will bring about mighty changes in your life and in the
world. This power is at your disposal, though not for feats of magic, but only
to be used to share the gifts of God.
Is this not something you would gladly learn? The world does not
need to be experienced as a place of fear and suffering. It can be a happy
dream, in which you seem to live a little while, and share the happy lessons
you have learned.
This is a call to your awakening.

The Real World

T hroughout all of human history, man has had only one mission.
To understand life, to answer the question that each has in the depth of their
being. “What am I?”
In the answer to this question lies your freedom, and the freedom of
the world. This same answer restores complete peace and certainty to your
awareness. This answer is also the release from all thoughts of suffering.
You have heard it said before; Know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
God and truth are one and the same.

22. The Real World
God Is
There are no human words or symbols that can truly describe God.
“God Is” is perhaps the closest words can come to encompass the eternal,
and all inclusive nature of God.
Though this is ultimate truth, it offers very little help to a beginning
student. The human condition requires some form in which this truth can be
expressed, some symbols that can provide a glimpse of all that God really is.
There are millions of these symbols in the world, and you need them only
because you now think in symbols.
The Prime Creator
God is the oneness, totality and infinity of all life. God is the power
that created all there is, and the power that created you. God is like a
canvas on which every picture has already been painted, like a book in which
every story has already been written. An infinite being to which, and in
which, all things are possible. There are no limits and no end in God. God is
all there is, and God is one.
God is complete, and without lack of any kind. God is the
unharmable, ever present, all encompassing, and all loving creator of
everything that is real. God has no insecurities and no selfish desires. God
is the source of boundless love, peace, and power.
God’s kingdom is within God, because all creation begins within the
one who creates. Therefore, creation is one as God is one. Each part is the
container of the whole, and is safe within it for all eternity.

23. The Sane God
The Sane God
God has no dualistic attributes, God is not confused. God is not both
a creator and a destroyer. God is not the source of both love and fear. God
is not both power and weakness. God self is one. God is only good, only
love, only joy, and only life.
God is completion, and has shared this completion. God is perfect,
and has shared this perfection. God is all power, and has shared this power.
Your God is a sane God.
God is a true and limitless God, God's creation is as God created it, it
is changeless and forever true. What power can exist that can change God?
What power can oppose the source of everything? For another power to
exist within creation, God must have created this power. Would God create
a power that can oppose and destroy him? Would God create a power that
can take his creation from him? Only if God is insane could this be possible.
God is life, not death. Life and death are opposites, and both cannot
be real. Just as God lives forever, so does his creation. If any part of God's
creation could die, God himself would be partly dead. This is impossible.
The Will of God
What does a sane God desire? Eternal happiness and joy of his
own creation. God desires for his creation to be limitless, because that is
what God is. If God limited his own creation, he would limit himself as a God.
God desires your happiness, and the happiness of all. This will has
no exceptions and no limits, it cannot be thwarted, it cannot fail. God's will is
not simply a wish, the will of God is done. To doubt in this and to argue this
is madness. It is the substitution of God with a limited idea.
This magnificent being is your creator, your source, your self. You
are part of this being in a very literal sense. God is in you, because you are

in God. The name by which you call this being does not matter, all are but
symbols, all are the same, and all but acknowledge the reality of God.
Your Reality
You are a child of God, a spirit, and part of the one spirit that is God.
This is all you are, all you have ever been, and all you ever can be. This is
not some meaningless thing that you can simply toss aside. In this is the
very meaning of life, in this is the key to all happiness and joy.
What does it mean to be a child of God? It means that you are like
your creator. You have been told many times and in many ways, that you
have been created “in the image and likeness of God”. Rejoice, because it is
true. Could God have created anything that is unlike him? You who are
God's creation share the purpose of creating.
You are a creator, the creator of your experience of God. You are a
co-creator of the entire universe, and each of your brothers and sisters is a
co-creator with you. This is the purpose for which God created you, to share
his joy and limitless creation. This must remain your true purpose forever.
You create within the kingdom of God. Everything you create is part of you,
because it is your creation. Just as you are part of God, because you are
God's creation.
By the nature of God's will, one limitation has been placed on you,
but it is one which only ensures your perfect freedom. You did not create the
kingdom of God, God did. You did not create yourself, God did. This means
it is not up to you to decide what is true. It is also not up to you to decide
what you are.
One Reality, One Self
God created all his children as equals and as one. The love of God

cannot have preferences, because to have preferences means to have
judgment. Every part of creation is an equal member of the family of God, an
integral part of God's perfect oneness. There are no chosen beings and no
one is more or less. Equality is the unchanging nature of God's children.
Creation is the self of God and God's children are encompassed by
this self. All are one, because they share a self that is one. This self is the
container of infinity, endless power, and limitless love. This self was never
born and will never die.
The children of God are not bodies, but spirits. Extensions of God
and extensions of God's creative thought. The children of God cannot be in
conflict, this is a complete impossibility. All share one will, one source and
one true desire.
In this reality is a limitless life. In this reality is peace of mind, and
the release from all thoughts of fear.
Eternal Safety
Because the creation of God is within God, it is forever safe. Nothing
outside it exists, and nothing can disturb its perfection. Is God in danger?, is
this conceivable?
The children of God cannot be hurt, and they cannot die. God did
not create them to be vulnerable and temporary, God does not destroy his
own creation. The children of God are spirit, deathless, limitless, and forever
safe in God. There is no such thing as a broken spirit, or an evil soul. Spirit
is perfect, spirit is God.
The safety of creation is part of God's gift to creation itself. In your
natural mind, as a child of God, you are perfectly aware of this safety. This
knowledge is the reason for your peace.

26. The Real World
The Gifts of God
God has given “everything to everyone” in a most literal sense. This
gift is what makes God a God.
God is a creator, and created you to create.
God is limitless, and so must be God's creation.
God is at peace, and has shared this peace with you.
God is love, and created you both loving and lovable.
God is one, and you are part of this oneness forever.
God lives forever, and you live in God.
Can you be a child of God and not share the attributes of God?
Would God create you to be his opposite? These attributes are the gifts of
God to you, these are the conditions by which God created you. It is these
attributes that ensure your happiness, your safety, and your life. These
attributes are not things you have or own, they are the divine aspects of what
you are.
This recognition is your awareness of reality.
This remembrance is forever possible, because it is the truth.
Creation & Communication
Creation is simple, it is communication between the creator and his
creation. It is God’s promise to always give you what you ask for, God’s
promise to create with you forever. This is how God remains forever without
limits.
This is reality, this is what will be referred to as Heaven. The simple
and complete awareness that you are a co-creator of all the universe, and
one with God.

27. Creation & Communication
The only questions God ever asks his children are:
What do you wish to create next? What can I give you next?
Your answer to these questions always becomes your experience.
In this communication is your limitless power to create. In this
communication God's purpose is fulfilled, and yours along with his.
The Law of Love
God’s purpose in creating you was for God to have a way to give, to
share, and to experience everything that is within him. This is what “the love
of God” means.
By God giving to his children, giving became the law of creation
forever. You have been told many times that what you give, you will receive
in return. This is the law of God, the law by which you are a co-creator with
God. It is by giving that you create your experience.
To give truly is to love, to love without limit, and to share one will with
God. The power of your giving is as great as God's, because it is an
extension of God's will to give. This is the primary law which governs the
kingdom of God.
The law of love applies to everything within creation. It is shared
equally as is truth. What exception can exist in oneness? What is there that
is beyond the laws of God? The law of love is universal, and the only law
you must obey.
A Universal Purpose
In the real world, all of the children of God share one purpose. You
share God’s will, as God shares his will with you. Your universal purpose is
to extend love, to create happiness and joy within the kingdom. This purpose
is never in danger, it cannot be changed, it is the will of God.

Every child of God has been given heaven, and each is completely
dependent on the others and on God. We are co-creators only when we are
together, joined with our God, joined in one will.
Changeless Reality
The most fundamental aspect of truth is that it cannot change. This
cannot be too often repeated. If truth could change, then it could never be
the truth. A temporary truth is without meaning. If truth could change, peace
would be impossible. If God could change his mind, then you have every
reason to be afraid. Be happy, your God is a true God. Truth is true, and
remains true forever. It is present now, within you, as what you truly are.
Child of God, God has not changed his mind.
The Inner World
The real world is within you, and nowhere else. In this world, you are
one with the peace of God. You are safe forever, and harm is inconceivable.
Nothing is missing, you are aware of perfect abundance. There is no
suffering at all, there is only joy and happiness. In this world, you are a
powerful creator. You are the chooser of your experience of the gifts of God
to you.
The real world exists as union in God. Only this world can truly be
known, because only this world is true. Child of God, this inner world is your
only reality. Do you want to remember it? You can, it is here and now.

C learly earth is not like the real world, in fact it appears to be its
opposite. It appears to be a place of lack, a place where pain and death are
real. Not only are they real, they are said to be a natural part of life.
Child of God, your God gave you only heaven, only joy, and only life.
How is it possible then, for you to find yourself in this world? The answer is
one that may shock you, and one you surely do not yet believe.
Earth is not real. It is only a dream in the minds of God's children, a
dream that only seems to have reality. Heaven remains the gift of God to

you, it is the limitless power God has shared with you. With this power, you
have created your dream of earth.
The Dream World
The human condition is nothing more than a temporary experience.
It is a dream world in which it is made possible to forget about God, and to
think that God has forgotten you. Here it seems possible to experience being
alone, separated, and something other than what you really are. It is the
experience of separation, powerlessness and limitation. It is an experience
that seems to oppose reality, this is its very purpose. It is natural to ask how
such an experience could come about. Why would God allow this?
This experience started with a simple joke. A curiosity, a silly
thought in the minds of God's children. “I wonder what it is like not to be
what I really am.”. God's limitless love for you has simply granted this
experience. It is not God alone who put you here, you have put yourself
here. The ability to dream is part of your free will. God knows only of giving,
and has promised to give you everything you ask for.
Now you must consider, whether a sane God would allow the actual
separation of the oneness that he is. This is not possible, this would make a
suicidal God. Do you really think that it is your will to be without God
forever?
The dream of unreality is still within reality, because there is nothing
else. This is why earth is still part of heaven, even when it sometimes seems
like hell. Heaven is all there is, and can be experienced even in your dreams
of earth. You can awaken to this, and you must, it is only a matter of time.
Some would teach you that you were kicked out of heaven, that you
are here because of your sins and trespasses against God. Rest assured,
you do not have the power to hurt or injure God. What can this be but
arrogance? What God can be hurt by his creation, if his creation is himself?

31. The Dream World
Would a sane God attack himself?
As God knows you, you were created perfect, and perfect you must
remain. You cannot change your own reality, you are not the creator of
yourself. Only in dreams could this be possible, and while you dream, it
seems to be so.
Duality
The big bang has long been described as a giant explosion of one
single unit of energy. Is this not a symbol for the separation of unity? Is this
not the way in which the opposite of oneness can seem to be experienced?
The physical universe is the experience of duality, of opposites, and
things that are unlike. It is the experience of good and evil, love and fear,
pain and joy, life and death.
This duality is not real, God is not confused. Awakening is the
awakening from this duality and into unity. It is the realization that duality is
an illusion, the dream experience of what is literally impossible. Reality has
no opposite, no yin, no yang. It is a singular oneness.
This awakening is now your goal and it is entirely possible and easy.
You no longer have to believe that dreams are real. You are perfectly
capable of knowing reality. The remembrance of reality is within you, it is
your self. You cannot be separate from it, no matter how much you may
believe you are.
Even in your experience of earth, you have proof that dreaming is
possible, and that dreams seem real only while you dream them. Each
morning you seem to waken from one world into another, from unreality to
seeming reality.
When you are awake, you do not believe in the world you
experienced in dreams. Waking is the sign that dreams are gone. Can it be
that you do not really awake? Are you really sure that earth is your true

The World of Change
The most fundamental aspect of the dream world is that it is
constantly changing. This is the opposite of the changeless truth that is
reality. This constant change is the reason why peace can never be found
within the world outside. Who can find constancy in change? Who can be
certain of what is only temporary?
It is change that gives seeming reality to fear. You fear the future
because you are uncertain of what changes will occur within your world. You
must be in constant danger in a world so unpredictable.
The temporary nature of everything in the world is your proof that the
world cannot be real. What kind of God would create a changing truth? God
is no prankster who plays games with his own creation.
To look beyond what changes to what is changeless is the basis of
all miracles. It is the affirmation of the truth within, and the denial of the
reality of the world outside. Miracles can change all appearances simply
because they are not real. It is the truth of what you are that gives you power
over all things that change. It is the reason why you cannot be a prisoner to
anything in the world of dreams.
Child of God, seek no longer to find peace in this changing world.
Remember what is changeless within you, and the changes in the world will
not trouble you. You are free.
The Birth of Illusions
For you to truly experience being without God, God would have to
destroy himself or find a place within himself where he is absent, some
experience from which his oneness is excluded. This is not possible.

There is only one possible way for you to forget the truth, and that is
through the acceptance of illusions. By definition, illusions oppose the truth,
and any mind that accepts illusions must be blind to truth.
These illusions are not real, they do not threaten truth in any way.
They may seem real to you but only while you choose to believe in them.
These illusions show you a giant universe of seeming separation, where
each tiny part can seem to have its own identity, and a will separate from the
whole.
At the moment of your transition into the physical world, you
experienced an instant of forgetfulness, a temporary case of complete
amnesia. This forgetting is what allows for the acceptance of illusions. This
was the birth of the ego, and illusions seemed to take the place of truth.
"I am a body”.
By this conclusion, you disassociated from your identity as spirit, and
began to believe that you are something else. On top of this one decision,
came all the rest of the decisions you have made since then. This was the
world the physical senses showed to you, and without the memory of God,
you believed it.
“I am flesh and bone”, is the fundamental illusion on which the ego's
world is built. This belief is the ego itself. The ego believes that the body
represents the extent of your abilities, and that it is “life” itself. To the ego,
the death of the body is the end of life.
This is how a limitless child of God can seem to experience
limitation. The body was created as a tool with which you could experience
separation from God and his oneness. This does not mean that the
separation is real, the experience of it can be recognized as what it is.
The Mad Idea
The ego is not a thing, it is not an entity, nor is it a power. It is just a

silly thought of separation on which an entire thought system was made.
Through the power of spirit, your mind created an entire universe based on
this idea.
This mad idea of separation is the core of the human condition.
Without this idea, without this silly wish, this world would not be
possible. Is it not obvious that the world you know is made by a thought of
separation? Is earth not divided into countries, races, families, and finally
into distinct and separate life forms? Does everything not seem to be
separate from you? Is it not common knowledge that everything is a
separate part, made out of even more separate parts?
This is the dream you are dreaming. This dream has cost you the
awareness of reality. It has robbed you of the peace and power God has
shared with you. Fear not, the dream can never become your reality. Your
reality is safe forever within the one self we call God.
The time has come.
Awaken, and remember what is real and what is not.
Self Denial
The human condition is a game played in the mind. In this game, it
seems to be possible to deny your true identity. It seems that you can define
yourself as whatever you wish. You can define yourself as a body, as
limited, and as victim to the world. You can indeed define yourself in an
endless number of ways.
Is it possible that it is really up to you to decide who you are? You
are the creation of God and God has defined who you are. This is why the
human condition is just a silly dream. Who can play this game forever?
Every mind must eventually decide to remember its true identity.
Self denial is a stressful thing, it is not easy to do the impossible.
This denial cannot be real, because denial does not actually change what is

denied. Truth remains untouched, unchanged, and entirely accessible.
Truth is here, now and forever.
You must now learn to play a different game within this dream. Play
the game as a powerful creator, play the part of a savior. All earthly life is
indeed a game. Play it to the fullest, accept responsibility as dreamer of your
dream.
Being Human
What is a human except a body? A separate being living in a
separated world. It is a life that is seen as ending with death. It is a life of
fear, limitation, of passing joys and certain hurts.
Your body is a symbol of separation. It is the sign that the mind
believes that minds are separate. Through it you can seem to be in conflict
with others you think are separate from you. You can think thoughts of
hatred, guilt and fear. This is indeed the way to experience separation.
Separation is not real, it cannot happen, it is impossible. God and his
creation are forever one.
Child of God, you are not human.
Yes, you are dreaming that you are, yes it all seems very real to you.
It may even seem absurd to question your humanity. Now you must
remember that your humanity is what causes you fear. Its what causes you
to think you can die. Your humanity has imprisoned you within your body.
In this book, you will be asked to question the seeming reality of this
dream, and so to realize that it is a dream. You do not have to lay down your
body to become aware of spirit. You can be conscious of spirit, only
dreaming of a world in which you seem to be a body. When this has
happened, you can use the body to help awaken all the seeming parts of the
dream. To help return everyone back to the awareness of God, and to undo
the thought of separation. The body can indeed be used for this true and

joyful purpose.
What is the benefit to this? When you deny the separation, you
acknowledge that you are part of God, part of God's oneness. What is there
you cannot do if this is true? What can be denied to you who is a co-creator
with God?
A limitless life is no small gift. It is the glorious gift of God to his
creation. It is God's promise to be a perfect God, a loving God, and a sane
God.
The Great Reversal
Because you have forgotten your reality and your creative power, a
world outside of you seems to exist. You now believe that you are a product
of your world. You think that you live by reaction to something that is outside
of you, and independent of your thoughts. This is the great reversal of your
power to create. In reality, your thoughts create the world and all of your
experiences within it.
This reversal of cause and effect is what makes you seem powerless
against your body and the world outside of you. You now believe that both
have power over you. This is not true and will never be. Nothing has power
over a child of God, God gave you perfect freedom. Not one of your
creations can hurt or endanger you in any way.
This reversal can be reversed. You can learn to consciously create
your experience and not simply react to it, you can learn to change
nightmares into happy dreams. By reversing this reversal in you, you are
really doing it for everyone. If the dream is not real for you, it is not real for
any one child of God. This is how you become a savior to your world.

Lost Reality
You have not lost your own reality. It is within you, living, functioning,
and waiting to be remembered. All that has happened is that you have lost
awareness of it. You have covered it up with a simple lie, on which your
entire world is based.
I am separate from God. This now appears as your reality. It is a
perfect witness to the immense power of your mind. That you could make a
dream so seemingly real, that you would not even suspect that it is only a
dream.
Child of God, look around you. This world cannot be the will of a
loving God. The world of death is not life. It was created by you, through the
power God has given you. But only so that, for a little while, you can play
hide and seek with God. It is a childish game, that has robbed you of the
peace and joy of knowing your creator.
Are you tired yet? Have you had enough fear and uncertainty?
Enough pain and suffering? Reality waits. Within it is a joy you cannot
fathom, and a power strong enough to move mountains. Child of God, you
do not have to wait one minute longer, reality can be remembered now.
The Universal Teacher
Would a loving God allow you to sleep forever? Would God let you
sleep without giving you a certain way to awaken?
God has given you a voice, an inner calling, an inner light to ensure
that the dream of darkness be temporary. This voice is in your mind, this
voice speaks for the real you, it reminds you that you are sleeping, it reminds
you that you want to awaken.
This voice is universal, it is one. In this world it seems to speak to
each one separately, using different languages and symbols. Teaching

different forms and many different ways of remembering. Yet its purpose is
the same in every mind, it cannot be in conflict with itself.
While you are not aware of this voice within you, you are in need of
something that seems to come from outside of you. This book will teach you
that all you need is within you. Every teacher, every teaching, every spiritual
practice is temporary. Ultimately, you must look within to remember who you
are.
Heaven & Earth
Heaven and earth are one. Though this statement must be
understood within the context of what they are. Earth is not reality. It is a
projection of thought onto an external physical universe. It is literally a
movie, played out on a three dimensional screen. This projection is made by
mind, it occurs both at the level of seemingly individual minds, as well as the
collective mind shared by all.
Heaven however, is within. It can not be removed or destroyed, it is
here and now. It has been forgotten, and is hidden from you by the
distractions of the external world. While the thought of separation remains,
earth is capable of reflecting hell to those who choose separation as their
truth. To those who awaken to unity earth is capable of reflecting heaven.
Therefore, in the ultimate sense, earth can never truly be like
heaven, because its very purpose from the beginning was to be its opposite.
All it can ever do is reflect and symbolize the heaven within. This can indeed
be glorious, but it cannot grant you the complete gift that God has given.
Earth cannot encompass God or you, it cannot contain infinity. When time is
over, and no one is content with symbols or reflections, all of them must
disappear.
Do not fear this, the disappearance of earth is not the same as its
destruction. It is the total transcendence of ego, the end of all dreaming, and

a return to the life of oneness. Dreams cannot last forever, the presence of
reality ensures this. The end of earth is inevitable, accept it.
God Must Be Crazy
Look at the world with your physical eyes and senses. It can be a
beautiful world, but it can also be filled with suffering. It is always a mixture
of both. It is a world of birth and death. Passing joys, and certain hurts.
Disasters and Miracles. The world itself will end in dust, it is only a matter of
time.
Is this reality? Is this life as God created it to be? What sane God
would create and destroy? What sane God would subject his creation to
chaos and suffering? What kind of God can conceive of suffering at all?
What kind of God would create children and allow for them to die?
If this is reality, God is insane.
This God is mean, needy, and without love.
Luckily for you, your God is sane. God gave you only life, only joy,
only abundance and only infinity. You were curious, you wanted to
experience unreality, and so you are having a dream of the opposite of truth.
You believe you are experiencing, what cannot be experienced in reality.
Child of God, do not fear your dream.
A Parable of Creation
In order to simplify and summarize these first two chapters for you,
here is a story, a parable of creation:
In the beginning there was God. God existed in infinity, as infinity,
and knew: “I am all there is. There is nothing but me.”
Being pure love and perfect completion, God wanted to share

himself and so experience what this everything really was.
For this purpose, out of himself, and within himself, God created a
child. To this child he promised “You are my child. Everything I am, you
are. Everything I have is yours, we are co-creators forever.”
The child wept with gratitude.
Endless time passed in eternity. God and his child shared the bliss
of oneness and shared their experience together. Only one thing was left to
do, this child wanted for a way to share everything that God had given. After
all, God and his child are alike.
The child requested. “Father, please create more children with whom
I can share all that you have given me."
God smiled and answered "That is a great idea. Remember this: To
me you are all the same, I will love all of you equally and this will never
change."
With this promise, out of this one child, God created many . And now
each could share the gifts of God.
More endless time passed and out of the blue, the children of God
had a curious thought. “I wonder what it would be like not to be as I am, and
not to have all that I have.” All were very curious, but they could not
understand their own curiosity. Still, they asked God:
“Father, we are wondering if it is possible for us to experience
something other than this.”
God laughed out loud. “What?, are you not happy?”
“We're happy….but“ answered the children.
“It's just that its been a very long time that we've been creating and
being, and being and creating. We are curious, we want a different kind of
adventure."
“You want to experience the opposite of this?”
“Yes.” answered the children not realizing the implications of their
request.

41. A Parable of Creation
To this, God answered "I cannot destroy myself nor any of you. Do
you really want this?”
“Of course we don't want it to last forever, we don't want it to actually
be true. You are God. Surely you can find a way.” the children debated.
God smiled and said “That is true. I am God, I have promised to
give you everything you ask for."
God appealed to his own Godly wisdom and searched for a way to
give the children what they asked. “I've got it!" he announced, and the
children joined to listen.
"You can go to sleep, and imagine a dream of a world that seems to
be the opposite of this. A world in which you will not remember me, you will
not remember who you are. You will think that I have forgotten you, and left
you to be on your own.”
“Perfect” The children agreed. “So be it”.
Before they fell asleep, God said to them:
“I will not fall asleep with you., I do not wish to forget about you. I will
stay awake but let you sleep for as long as you wish. I will continue to give
you everything you ask for. Each of you will be the creator of your dream,
just as you are a creator here. But you will not realize this, unless and until
you choose to.”
“I will give you a voice to remind you of me, and to waken you from
this experience you have chosen. Through it, I will call to you in every
moment to ask you to remember me."
“Call on me through the voice I have given you, I will always answer
you. You can return to me together, whenever you wish. I will wait patiently
for your awakening.”
The children understood their father's love and they thanked him.
Off they went to sleep, not realizing what this sleep would bring. They did
not realize that this forgetting would cause them to be unhappy.
Thus the children created a dream of an endless universe in which

everything seemed to exist in pieces. Each of the children could now take
on the identity of just a single piece, and forget their unity for a little while.
As the children of God slept, each seemed to be born into a body, a
distinct and separate self. Forgetful of their reality, forgetful of their power,
the children began a journey through a world that was never real.
They were born into a world that seemed to be outside of them, each
one seemed small and limited. They seemed to hurt each other, use each
other, hate each other and only sometimes love each other. They seem to
age, die, and become reborn. They seemed to live in lack, suffer and
experience sickness. They seemed to be at the mercy of a world outside
them, ruling them, and even killing them.
The very instant they fell asleep, the process of awakening began.
In their dream, this will seem to take a long time. The journey is part of the
dream, but awakening is already accomplished. It is accomplished by the
wish to sleep, and the existence of reality.
Waiting for the children of God is the glorious awakening, the
immense surprise of remembering who they really are. God is at peace,
knowing that all of them are safe, and certain to awaken. Eternity and
creation have continued undisturbed.

There was no evil sin in the creation of earth, there was no anger
from God, and not one child was kicked out of Heaven. These myths are all
the makings of the ego to induce a fear of God, and to keep you from
remembering.
The only question now remains:
Do you choose to remember or continue to forget?

The Mind
“What we think, we become.”

T he mind is not a complicated thing. Mind is a mechanism of
choice, a tool used to decide what you want to experience. It is the power
with which you dream your dream.
Choice must be between two things that are seen as different and in
opposition. The human mind contains two voices, two sources of thought,
two thought systems only. These thought systems are perfect opposites,
each speaks of a different reality and each teaches entirely different lessons.
One leads to nightmares, the other to happy dreams and awakening.

Decision making is not a part time function, every moment of every
day you are choosing your experience of life. Should this be a process that
you are unaware of? Would you not be happier if you took part in it, and
learned to create consciously? If this process is allowed to happen without
your awareness, you will miscreate, because you will not remember the
power of your mind.
Throughout this book, the contrast between the ego and reality will
be made abundantly clear to you, but simply reading about it is not enough.
You must allow your internal teacher to make you aware of this contrast, to
help you learn of the only sane choice you can make.
In this chapter, we will examine the way that choosing occurs within
your mind. Recognizing this is the starting point of your return to your true
function as a co-creator with God.
The Two Voices
The human condition is one of conflict between two selves, and two
realities. One is the dream of separation, the other is union in heaven.
This conflict is needless and not a part of God's gift to you. You can
escape it quite easily, but to do so, you must learn just what this conflict is.
You must learn that it is unreal, unwanted, and quite impossible. Because of
this conflict, your mind is unsure about what you are, and what you want.
Your mind is not certain of anything, because to truly know something, it
must be the truth.
Both these voices have as their purpose to teach you that their world
is real. Illusions support illusions, just as truth gives support to truth. Can
both truth and illusion be true? Can both be real? Can God be confused
about his own creation?
Earth can be both heaven and hell for you. It will be hell if you
continue to use it to experience the opposite of heaven. It will be like heaven

for you, if you remember the heaven within. Your experience of it is
determined by the choices you make. Be happy, every moment of every day
offers you the chance to choose again. This is your one remaining power,
and it is the only one you need.
Every mind has perfect faith. This faith is made imperfect only by
being split between the ego and the voice for God. Whatever goals you
share with the ego, take away from your faith in the goals you share with
God. Whatever faith you have in truth, weakens the ego's thought system in
your mind. Now you must undertake the process of removing your faith from
illusions, and giving it back to truth. The speed at which this happens,
depends only on your willingness to question your illusions.
The Ego
The ego has been described in many ways, it has been symbolized
as the devil, a force of evil, a power in opposition to God. This teaching is
not aimed at the affirmation of this, but only its undoing. The ego is not real,
it is literally a hallucination. God does not have an enemy.
Simply stated, the ego is the illusion of your “separate self”. The self
that has a name, the self that is isolated from the world outside. The self that
thinks it can be beautiful or ugly, and can be both kind and unkind. This is
the self that can be hurt, offended, and destroyed. This is the self that thinks
its will can be different from the will of God. This self is false.
The ego is the source of all of your doubts in yourself and God. It is
the voice that tells you God has forgotten you. It is the voice that says you
are doomed to suffer and to die. Be happy, this voice is insane, what it says
is not the truth.
A brief disclaimer is necessary here: To call the ego insane is
neither an overstatement nor an understatement, it is a statement of a simple
fact. The ego is insane because it contradicts reality. It is insane, because it

teaches you that you are something you are not. When I call the ego insane,
I am not calling you insane. You are not an ego, you are spirit, a child of God.
Your belief in the ego is temporary, and the aim of all true spiritual
work is the release of your mind from the ego's thought system.
The Voice for God
Your inner guide, the voice for God, is God's answer to your creation
of the ego. This inner guide has been described in many ways and given
many symbols. It has been called The Holy Spirit, Higher Self, Soul, Spirit,
the Super Conscious or simply God. These names do not matter.
This voice is the same in each mind because it comes from one God
and for one universal purpose. There is no one in the world who does not
have this voice within their mind, everything that God has given is for, and
within everyone.
Though it is referred to as the voice for God, it is not a voice heard
with the body's ears, but rather as a source of communication within the
mind. It uses all things for communication, and speaks to you in a language
you can understand. At times it communicates with thought, other times
through imagery and symbolism. It also makes use of memory and intuition.
It has perfect wisdom to translate all things to make its presence known to
you.
It is the ego’s opposite in every way, in source, in purpose, and in
experience. It is your savior from suffering, it speaks for the real you. Its
function is to replace the ego's lies with truth, and to answer the ego's doubts
with faith. Ultimately, it teaches you that the ego is not real.
The voice that reminds you of God comes from God himself. It is
perfectly aware of how to teach you and what to teach you. Your inner guide
knows that in the dream world your mind is filled with illusions. It remembers

the truth on your behalf, and can help you to look past them.
It understands your illusions, but does not believe in them. Its sole
purpose is to restore your direct communication with God which you have
denied by believing in the ego. The voice for God is not bound to forms, but
uses all forms, all languages, and all symbols to help you to awaken. It has
no investment in dreams, its purpose is to end all dreaming.
Ego Self
The ego's thought system is based on the idea that you are a
physical body. A separate being, a lonely creature in a world of other
creatures. Every moment seems uncertain, and at any moment disaster
could strike.
This thought system is directly connected to the physical senses. It
seems very real, because the physical senses show this world to you
perfectly. This is a tribute to the very power of your mind, what you believe in
will seem real for you. The ego does not trust in anything that it cannot see,
or hear, or touch. The physical body is its only home and only concern, all
things are for itself.
This thought system has two things that it aims to accomplish at all
times. One, is the survival of your physical body. This is the basis of all
decisions the ego can make. Is this not a depressing way to live? Is it
happiness to base all decisions on the fear of death?
This state of mind is one of constant fear, for who could feel peace
trapped in something so little and so weak. A huge universe surrounding
your little fortress of flesh and bone. This perception of yourself is hell,
because in heaven it is not true.
This ego self must be defended at all cost. It is easily hurt, easily
offended, and it can be victimized. Because it can be hurt, it can hurt in
return. Because it can be attacked it will urge you to attack in self defense.

Spirit Self
The voice for God teaches you that you are spirit, a powerful creator,
and a part of God himself. You are powerful because you are part of a
limitless creation. God has shared with you his power to create, and this you
do in every moment until forever. You are the dreamer of your dream, you
cannot be a victim to the world, you cannot be made to suffer or to die. You
are from beyond the dream, it is not your true home. You are not a prisoner
to it in any way. Fear not.
The voice for God sees the body only as a temporary vessel, useful
for communication within your dream of earth.. Through it, it communicates
the will of God to all minds who have forgotten it. For this purpose, the
survival of the body is assured, for as long as it can still be useful in God's
plan for awakening. You do not have to worry about it, give it over to the
voice for God and it will serve you well. Child of God, you are never in
danger, and you cannot die.
Life of Ego
When the survival of the physical body has been assured to the
ego's satisfaction, the second phase of its mission is undertaken: The
meaningless search for happiness.
The ego tells you that happiness is found in what you can gather for
yourself. These things are its idols, its gods, and all are made out to be the
purpose of your life. They take the form of material possessions, worldly
success, physical power, physical beauty, and love from other bodies. All of
the ego's hope is placed in the body and the world outside. This is what the
ego says will make you happy.
All of this, must now be taken from the world. This is the

fundamental flaw in the ego's logic. It tells you it is up to you to go out, and
get the things you think will make you happy. You must fight for your piece
of the pie. Others will compete with you for your happiness. You must
protect yourself, your possessions and your goals.
The ego knows only how to take, because its entire thought system
is based on lack. The idea that there is not enough for everyone and not
enough of anything. This, the body's eyes see, and this the ego will have
you believe.
The ego is unstable. Its decisions are all based on the outside world.
It looks at events, circumstances, moods and past experiences and by this it
tells you what you want. This is why the ego can never be certain. Its ideas
and goals change on a whim, because all are based on a world that is in
constant change. The ego's goals are many and each leads to conflict and
confusion.
The ego's purpose can never be accomplished, because it is based
on sight that does not see, and urges you to seek for things you do not really
want. Even if you attain some of its idols, they will not satisfy your ego, for it
can never be satisfied. It will then urge you to seek again for something
different and something more. This is the ego's life, an endless search for
what cannot be found, an endless thirst that cannot be quenched.
Life as Spirit
Spiritual life is based on your spiritual being and sight. The earthly
form of spiritual sight is a translation of forms into truth. This sight is part of
the gift your internal teacher has for you.
The voice for God teaches you how to base your decisions on what
you are, you are a child of God. You have everything, and you are
everything. What is it then, that you truly want? Is it not to share everything
you have? This is your purpose, to create with God by sharing everything he

has given you. This purpose is shared by him and by all of your brothers and
sisters. It is independent of acceptance or denial, it is forever true, it is reality
as God created it to be.
The happiness of you as a child of God does not depend on anything
outside. It is rooted within, within the reality of what you are. You are a
creator, and the dreamer of your dream. In this is your safety, happiness and
immortality. You are a creation of God, this is not a fantasy, nor wishful
thinking, it is changeless truth.
Choosing with the spirit leads to stability. Your reality does not
change with circumstances and events within the dream. Your reality is not
changed by anything outside of you. Spirit is single minded in its choices
because its choices reflect the will of God. To choose spirit is to be of one
mind, and not confused about what you want, or what you are.
Specialness
The ego's self perception lies in the appearance, health and abilities
of the physical body. If it is considered healthy, attractive and useful, self
confidence is said to be high. If not, there is reason for fear, guilt and shame.
The attributes, talents and abilities of the body are seen to be the measure of
your worth. These are the ways in which you can be special and unique.
The body is the way you can be different and separated from the world.
To be different and special is a major goal in the ego's thought
system. It uses the body to achieve this specialness. Sometimes this is
done through what is seen as good, sometimes through what is seen as evil.
To the ego it does not matter which, both ways are acceptable.
The ego sees only differences and cannot perceive sameness. It
compares your body to that of others and looks for meaning in this
relationship. By looking at only the body in yourself and others, the ego
keeps your mind imprisoned by the limitations the body seems to have.

Equality
The most fundamental key to remembering reality, is to remember
the equality which God bestowed on all his children. This is the unchanging
aspect of creation that must be recognized, before the memory of God can
return into your conscious mind. How else is separation undone? Except to
undo the sight of differences and the acceptance of union and equality.
The voice for God is the communicator of God's will in the world of
dreams. This will is shared by every child of God. This is the will that is
hidden behind the sight of differences and all appearances of conflict. The
differences between bodies, personalities, and physical attributes do not
matter, they are all meaningless.
You cannot recognize the will of God only in yourself, it does not
belong to you alone. You must learn to refuse any and all ideas that would
see you as separate from any of your brothers and sisters. You cannot be
better or worse, you cannot have more or less, you are their perfect equal in
the family of God.
The Illusion of Love
The ego's desperate search for love is based on its idea that you are
alone. It seeks companionship from other bodies and is attracted to them for
the companionship they seem to offer. All of its ideas of love are based on
taking. The ego bargains for love and teaches you to give love only where
you can receive it.
The ego's love is always temporary, it can change with
circumstances, events, or by its mood. Is this not evident in most human
relationships? Does love not easily turn to hate? Is it not true that the world
believes love is painful?

52. The Mind
The ego teaches that some relationships are more important than
others, and that some are more deserving of your love than others. This is
always based on what it is getting out of the relationship.
The ego teaches you that the purpose of your relationships is to feel
special, to feel loved and appreciated. When it finds another who seems to
agree on this purpose, the ego is “in love”. The instant the ego is no longer
getting what it wants out of the relationship, it is broken and the ego discards
it. Now its search for love begins anew.
Special relationships are the one gift of the ego that can indeed
appear as love, though this is only in appearance. The basis for the ego's
love is fear and separation, both of which are a denial of love. What can they
be except an illusion of love? The ego cannot conceive of a love that is not
special. Its love is towards bodies, and all the things these bodies seem to
offer. These insane relationships have many names and take many forms
within the world. It is only specialness that causes conflict in relationships.
Only this makes you think that a relationship can be lost.
The Love of God
Your inner guide will teach you that love is in you, to be shared and
given away to your world. You do not need to seek for love outside of you.
You are part of love, and its very essence is the very essence of you. Give,
give without limit, and do only that. Share all that God has given. This is the
only love that can satisfy you, because this is the only love that is real.
You are never alone. The kingdom of God is in you, and all the
universe is joined with you. You who loves truly can never feel alone.
Love is between spirit and itself. God's teacher teaches you that
love is not limited, and not given in exchange for something. You must learn
to love all your brothers and sisters as yourself, because they are your self.
Be thankful to them for what they are and for being your perfect equals.

Acknowledge their creative power, even if they have chosen to deny
it in themselves and you. To love is the only way to see past illusion and into
reality. Love is one and cannot be special, it is equal in all ,and for all.
When you learn that love is one, you will not fear the end of any
relationship. A relationship can seem to end only in form, but one who is
aware of love knows that no relationship can ever end. Real relationships
are eternal, they are based on a reality that is beyond bodies, beyond time,
and beyond space.
Guilt
Guilt is a fundamental aspect of the ego's thought system. Guilt is
what maintains the separation between you and all your brothers and sisters.
By this guilt, all are seen as separate from God. The ego loves guilt, and one
of its main intentions is to gather as much of it as possible. It seeks to find
guilt in others, as well as in yourself. It reminds you of all the ways in which
you have been hurt by your world, and the ways in which you have caused
harm to others.
Only pain and suffering prove that guilt is real, this is why the ego
secretly seeks for pain. For as long as you identify with it, you are joined in
this purpose of finding pain. You place expectations on your world, and find
guilt when those expectations are not met.
Forgiveness
Forgiveness is a correction, the denial of illusion and acceptance of
the simple truth. Because all mistakes can be corrected, all mistakes are
automatically forgiven. By correcting your mistakes God's voice teaches you
to forgive the mistakes of everyone. Mistakes do not matter, and God's voice
teaches you to concentrate only on what does. Mistakes are mistakes

because they are not true.
Mistakes do not come from your true self. This is true for you and
everyone in the world. Mistakes come from illusions, they are the thoughts of
those who know not what they do. For any mistake to be undone, you must
forgive the mistake and look to the truth in yourself and all others.
This is the way the belief in guilt is undone. You are sinless, perfect
and you remain as God created you. Forgiveness is justified, because
mistakes are only part of unreality. Everyone the ego sees as a sinner, you
can see as a child of God, dreaming a dream. Every sin the ego sees, you
can see as just a dream. A dream not to be affirmed, but a dream to be
awakened from.
Not one is beyond forgiveness, no one is beyond healing. There is
no evil inherent in the children of God. All evil is a result of the thought of
separation, it matters not what form the thought seems to take within the
world. All evil exists only at the level of form, which can hardly be called
reality. All appearances can change, all seeming effects of separation can
be undone.
The miracle of forgiveness is the only thing which gives you power to
transcend all effects that separation seems to have caused. Forgiveness
denies the separation is real, and replaces it with the reality of union. This is
how the cause of all suffering is undone.
The voice for God is your teacher in forgiveness. It supplies the light
which makes all darkness disappear. It supplies the vision of your brothers
and sisters as sinless. Before this can be given you, the voice for God must
first teach you that you want it. The instant that you want it, it is yours.
Child of God, only forgiveness can set you free.
Laws of the Ego
Not surprisingly, the ego's laws are not like the laws of God, and in

fact, represent their seeming opposite. The ego will tell you that to give is to
lose. Its entire thought system is based on sacrifice and endless bargains.
How much can I get, and how much must I sacrifice to get? The ego's
fundamental law is attack and defense, “Do onto others before they do it onto
you.”.
According to its laws, the more you do for others, the less happy you
will be. The more of yourself you give to others, the less you will be. To the
ego, to include others as your equals is to exclude yourself, and this it can
never do. It is this reversal, this profound confusion, which makes dreaming
possible.
In the eyes of the ego, justice determines who is guilty and who is
innocent. One is released from guilt, the other punished. This seems quite
sensible given the condition of the world, but this insane justice is an effect of
an insane thought system.
All of the ego's laws reflect its thought system, as well as its
complete instability. Is it not true that the world's laws reflect separation, lack
and punishment? Is it not true that the world's laws are inconsistent? Are
they not based on time, place and circumstance?
The Laws of God
The voice for God teaches you only one law, the law of love. This is
the only law that is meaningful to it, because in it is your reality and
relationship with God. Through it, you are a co-creator with God. The voice
for God works to restore this law to your awareness. So that you can use it
and be made limitless by it.
It teaches you that having depends on giving. What you give, you
are certain to receive. By teaching you how this law is applied in all
situations, you learn that giving is what sets you free. Allow the voice for
God to give through you, and by it, to remind you of all that you already have.

56. The Mind
This is the core of its teaching, give only what you would receive.
Your giving is limitless, there is nothing you cannot give to your world. Giving
is what unites father and child as one.
Divine justice is just to all. It unites all in innocence, and makes no
one guilty. The voice for God will teach you this divine justice if you are
willing to abandon guilt. In this divine justice, the power of miracles is found,
and reality remembered.
Decision Making
Your mind was created to make decisions and by your decisions you
dream your dream. Decisions are more than thoughts, they are the results of
all your thoughts, your beliefs and your desires. A decision is the setting of a
goal.
With the ego as guide, decisions are always based on weakness and
the shabby self the ego perceives as you. With God as your guide your
decisions are powerful, because they are based on the true self that shares
in God's will.
Who am I? What do I desire? These two questions are answered as
one, because what you want must depend on who you are. The answers are
either:
I am an ego and the body is my home
or
I am a child of God and heaven is my home
This is the fundamental basis for decision making. This is where
“intent” really is. Intent is the creative force behind all experiences and all
forms which you create. It is this fundamental decision that creates your
seeming reality.
