In summer 2007 Novozymes launched
Intranet 2.0 project and went live 3’rd
October 2008
The new Novozymes Intranet focuses
on providing fast, easy and relevant
information to all employees
Novozymes choose Netcompany as
their MOSS delivery partner with 1508
as their supplier for concept and design,
and Spot as partner on process and
usability.

In the very start phase - Engage in training and introduction courses to key
stakeholders and project team. Eg. a live environment
It’s Complex to understand the potential and possibilities of ”Audiences”,
”tags”, ”blogs”, ”wikis”, ”filtering”, ”web parts”, ”Mysite ” lists, ect.
Helps to make a good user requirement specification
Difficult to see the potential and possibilities
Requires a “good portion” of change management and training - It’s a new way of
thinking an intranet
Intranet transforming from a communication channel to a business tool
Subject based information architecture and web parts challenge the traditional
“ownership” of pages and information
User generated information and user- development change and challenge the
interfaces between IT department and users. Be prepared to educate a
“Knowledge Team” to handle the new issues in the interface between IT –
communication and business processes
Be prepared to customize and develop to meet your needs – it’s a tool box

approx. 10.000 pages from SAP to MOSS. More than 3.500
news articles converted automatically
ROT-analysis (Redundant, Outdated, Trivial) of content
performed over 30 days under the guidance of Intranet Unit
Managers supervised by Support and Operations
The 5 business units in Novozymes have continually held
internal sessions regarding future roles and responsible during
the ROT-analysis
More than 4.500 employees world wide use the Intranet on a
daily basis
