    • RED represents the blood shed by freedom fighters during the struggle for independence.
    • GOLD/Yellow represents the country's mineral wealth.
    • GREEN is symbolic of the country's forests/ tropics and the rich vegetation.
    • .Then the five pointed lone star (BLACK STAR) which is the symbol of African emancipation and unity in the struggle against colonialism.
