  6. 6. I Love the Word of God!Fix these words of mine in your hearts andminds; tie them as symbols on your handsand bind them on your foreheads. Teachthem to your children, talking about themwhen you sit at home and when you walkalong the road, when you lie down andwhen you get up. – Deutr11:18,19
  7. 7. 1. The Promise of Completion• I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers forall of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in thegospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that hewho began a good work in you will carry it on to completion untilthe day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:3-6• Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not onlyin my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue towork out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God whoworks in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.2:12,13
  8. 8. 1. The Promise of Completion (Cont’d..)• Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creationhas come: The old has gone, the new is here! – 2Cor 5:17• And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate theLord’s glory, are being transformed into his imagewith ever-increasing glory, which comes from theLord, who is the Spirit. 2 Cor 3:18• Dear friends, now we are children of God, and whatwe will be has not yet been made known. But weknow that when Christ appears, we shall be like him,for we shall see him as he is. All who have thishope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure. – 1John 3:2,3
  9. 9. 2. Promise of Clarity/Guidance• All of us, then, who are mature should takesuch a view of things. And if on some point youthink differently, that too God will make clear toyou – Phil 3:15• Although the Lord gives you the bread ofadversity and the water of affliction, yourteachers will be hidden no more; with your owneyes you will see them. Whether you turn to theright or to the left, your ears will hear a voicebehind you, saying, ―This is the way; walk in it.‖– Isaiah 30:20,21
  10. 10. 3. Promise of Physical Transformation• But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly awaita Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by thepower that enables him to bring everything under hiscontrol, will transform our lowly bodies so that they willbe like his glorious body. Phil 3:20,21• Romans 7:15 -25 I do not understand what I do. Forwhat I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Andif I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law isgood. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it issin living in me. I know that good itself does not dwellin me, that is, in my sinful nature.
  11. 11. 3. Promise of Physical TransformationFor I have the desire to do what is good, but Icannot carry it out. For I do not do the good Iwant to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this Ikeep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want todo, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living inme that does it. So I find this law at work:Although I want to do good, evil is right there withme. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law;but I see another law at work in me, waging waragainst the law of my mind and making me aprisoner of the law of sin at work within me.
  12. 12. 3. Promise of Physical TransformationWhat a wretched man Iam! Who will rescue mefrom this body of death? Thanks be to God, whodelivers me throughJesus Christ our Lord!
  13. 13. 3. Promise of Physical TransformationBecause we know that the one who raisedthe Lord Jesus from the dead will also raiseus with Jesus and present us with you in hispresence. … Therefore we do not loseheart. Though outwardly we are wastingaway, yet inwardly we are beingrenewed day by day.2 Corinthians 4 : 14-16
  14. 14. 4. Promise of the Peace of God• Do not be anxious about anything, but inevery situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requeststo God. And the peace of God, whichtranscends all understanding, will guardyour hearts and your minds in ChristJesus. -Phil 4:6,7• You will keep in perfect peace thosewhose minds are steadfast, because theytrust in you. Isaiah – 26:3
  15. 15. 5. Promise of the God of Peace• Whatever you have learned or received or heardfrom me, or seen in me— put it into practice. Andthe God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9• All authority in heaven and on earth has been givento me. Therefore go and make disciples of allnations, baptizing them in the name of the Fatherand of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teachingthem to obey everything I have commanded you.And surely I am with you always, to the very end ofthe age – Mat 28: 18b, 20• Pray and the Peace of God will be with you, practiceand the God of Peace will be with you!

If youremain in me and I in you, you will bear muchfruit; apart from me you can do nothing. ..Youdid not choose me, but I chose you andappointed you so that you might go and bearfruit—fruit that will last—and so that whateveryou ask in my name the Father will give you –John 15: 6.16
