  • 1. Welcome to TURKEY 5 Famous Places in Turkey , 2013
  • 2. Turkey is a country which is located on two continents; Asia and Europe.
  • 3. One of the main entrance gates of the Dolmabahçe Palace Close up view of Dolmabahçe Palace from the Bosporus Istanbul Dolmabahce Palace built in 19 th century is one of the most glamorous palaces in the world. It was the administrative center of the late Ottoman Empire with the last of Ottoman Sultans was residing there.
  • 4. Ankara Castle (Turkish: Ankara Kalesi) is a fortification from ancient or medieval era in Ankara, Turkey. The exact date of its construction is unknown. Having been controlled by Romans and Byzantines earlier; it was captured by Seljuq Turks in 1073, by Crusaders in 1101 and again by Seljuqs in 1227. The castle saw extensive repair by the order of İbrahim Paşa in 1832 during the Ottoman era.
  • 5. Cappadocia: The famous fairy chimneys Cappadocia which is unique in the world and is a miraculous nature wonder is in the Central Anatolian region. Cappadocia was one of the most important places in the spreading periods of the Christian religion. The first christians trying to escape from the Roman soldiers who wanted to avoid the spreading of the Christian religion have settled in the region of Cappadocia which was so suitable for hiding and so they were able to continue their natures and to spread their religions.
  • 6. PAMUKKALE Pamukkale, meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli Province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water.
  • 7. Trojan Horse The famous Trojan Wars took place in Çanakkale in western Turkey, around the site where a wooden statue of the Trojan Horse rests today
