  • 1. Tadeusz Makowski A great Polish Painter
  • 2. Tadeusz Makowski was born on 21 January 1882 in Oświęcim near Krakow. He was one of the prominent Polish painters.
  • 3. At University Makowski attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He studied under Jan Stanisławski and Józef Mehoffer.
  • 4. In 1909, he departed for Paris. He was very active in France for most of his life.
  • 5. Makowski started off as a landscape painter. He is arguably most famous for his rural landscape paintings. www.incredibleart.org

  • 7. After a while he shifted towards Post- Impressionism and Cubism.
