Disabled and Deaf people are discriminated against every day refused entry to schools, busses, trains, college, shops, clubs, pubs, hotels - for being disabled have to plan every visit out in location to parking spaces + accessible loos can’t to try clothes on in a store because there is no accessible changing room. finding the induction loop headset is broken - after the performance has started unable to buy sweets for their kids because the door is too heavy to open

Disabled + Deaf people are discriminated against every day walking painfully across a rain swept car park because the security guard refuses to allow parking in the blue badge spaces provided unable to go to cinema screenings or watch TV because they are not BSL interpreted, Audio Described or Subtitled unable to read websites - it costs £1,000 license fee for JAWS screen reader software unable to read text because there’s no large print, braille, easy text formats available

All things digital are fully accessible for ALL Disabled people All design of products + web development include accessibility from the very start Websites coded to work with assisted Websites meet AAA of the W3C guidelines Websites including content, navigation + information also relevant for ALL Disabled people

Only 1% of Websites are FULLY accessible [United Nations 2006] 1 in 3 people are either Disabled or know someone who is Disabled. 18% of the UK population is Disabled under the DDA Act [including people with Cancer, HIV, MS and past conditions] Disabled people are worth £80 Billion a year to the UK economy Equalities Act 2010 - it’s impact
