Vs. 7: “clear minded & self-controlled”

peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and se| f—control. Against such things, there
IS no aw. ”
— why? “So that we can pray. ”
— Why is self control a prerequisite to prayer?

4 Ways to Love
— Mt 20:25-28
— Our role is to serve, just as Jesus’ role was to serve.
- Gal. 5213,14 “You my brothers were called to be free.
But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful
nature; rather serve one another in love. The entire
law is summed up in one command, ‘Love your
neighbor as yourself. "’
* Serve with God’s strength
— Why? So that God will be praised (not us)
- Service of this nature is humility in action.
* We proclaim to love God and we can
proclaim to love people, but if it’s true, our
actions will show it. We should show our
love to others by:
