        • A planned approach to dealing with software change in an organization.
      • Change Control
        • How IT manages technical changes across the Environments
      • Environments
        • The physical structure of hardware to hold the various working areas for your Kronos implementation . i.e. DEV, TEST, PROD
      • WFC Instances
        • Used for multi language or other reason to have two applications go to the same database
    3. Why Change Control?
      • Reduce Risk of software failure in PROD
      • Improve ROI ‘culturally’
    4. Change is Constant
      • Two rules
        • Agile methods work. Roll with the punches
        • Still, have a plan for controls, approvals, everything.
    5. Organizational Change
      • Tech Stuff
      • Plan
      • Install
      • Configure
      • Change
      • Communicate
      • Process
      • Fundamentally rethink how to perform business processes
      • Willingness to sacrifice uniqueness for the greater good
      • People
      • Must realize the benefits of the change and invest in the behaviors needed for success

      • Technical
        • Configuration, Enhancements, Bug fixes, Service Packs, Version Upgrades, Development Projects
      • Functional
        • Senior Management, Operations Management, Project Managers and Team leaders, Functional Experts, Configurers, Developers, Quality Assurance, Training, Help Desk
    7. Questions to Ask
      • Do you care about the cultural change that’s coming? “Do you understand the ‘WHY’ of the change and what it might impact?
      • The change will likely need training. Who needs it and why? What will change in their work? How can we leverage the good stuff to come?
      • How large is our organization and what are our internal requirements for managing change?
      • How much development is going on? Coming? And will there be multiple teams who interact, or don't?
      • How are we going to manage the changes as they move through the environments?
      • How often are we going to handle patches and upgrades?
