  • 2. Where Does Garbage Go To When It Leaves Your House?

    • A lot of people's garbage goes to a landfill and gets buried and it makes a huge pile of garbage.
  • 4.
    • Some thing diffrent happens in city of Detroit.  It goes to an incinerator and the garbage gets burned and becomes ashes and all the smoke goes to the air and pollutes it.
  • 5. What problems  are caused by each of the places trash is taken?
    • When the trash is piled up, we might not have any more room for landfills.
  • 6. What problems are caused by each of the places trash taken? 
    • When the incinerator is burning  trash it pollutes the air.
  • 7. What problems are caused by each places trash is taken ?
    • Chemicals from the trash leak in to the ground from land fills.
  • 8. Facts about trash...
    • An average  American  throws  awayabout  3.5  pounds of trash  each  day.
    • That’s over a thousand pounds per person per year.
    • Between Thanksgiving  and  New Years, Americans throw out up to 25% more trash, amounting to a massive 5 million  tons  of trash.      
  • 9. Some trash decomposes (wastes away to dirt), but most takes a really long time to decompose.
  • 10.  
    • Leather shoes takes 40 years to decompose. Plastic bags takes 1,000 years. Glass bottles takes 1,000,000. Plastic bottles never decompose.

    • How is UPA going to help?
    • UPA is going to help by getting people to recycle paper more .

    • What is recycling?
    •   
    • Recycling means talking products you've already used and making brand new products with them, and it prevents lots of trash. Less trash means smaller landfills!!!

    • What can paper be recycled into?
    • It can be recycled into newspaper, magizienes ,white paper,boxes,egg cartons,and much,much more.

    • kleenex/tissues
