    • What does it look like?• Ephesians 6:4 “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord”• What would it look like to bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord?
    • Discipline• This is one of the most draining and exhausting aspects of parenting• Youʼve got to set the boundary• By setting the boundary you tell them who is in charge
    • Ten Commandments ofRock Your Family• #1) I am the parent and you arenʼt• You make the rules• You set the boundaries
    • I Am The Parent• The second you set the boundary they are going to challenge it• When they challenge the boundary, you must enforce it• If children have no boundary, they have no security
    • I Am The Parent• Enforced in a good, loving way• If you let them move the boundary, they will• Teaching children how to obey God• The fence has to be clearly defined
    • I Am The Parent• When the rules are enforced consistently they feel loved• It is important that children experience the consequences of overstepping the boundary• Good consequences and bad consequences
    • I Am The Parent• You donʼt want to discipline in anger• You have to decide what the consequences will be when your children are young• If you are married, the decision must be made together• It has to be done in a loving way that your kids understand
    • Homework• Spend some time writing out boundaries• How will you enforce the rules?• Iʼm the parent, youʼre not
