  • 2. What is ITiLT? ITiLT ( Interactive Technologies in Language Teaching ) is a European Union project ( Lifelong Learning Programme ) running from January 2011 - March 2013. The ITiLT project will produce a website of learning objects to help teachers integrate IWBs in their language classrooms. This will include video clips of classroom interactions; learner, teacher and trainer feedback; lesson plans and learner/teacher resources.

ITiLT Data Collection What’s next…2011 Nov Teacher training (1x 3hr session) Nov/Dec Classroom filming (30-60 minutes) Focus group (4 learners) immediately after class Nov/Dec Teacher interviews (1 week after filming) (using interview protocol / audio or video) Dec Episode selection (3-4 90-180 sec videos) Dec Editing of videos (MPEG4 AAC/CD quality sound) interview sections to match chosen video episodes Dec Tagging and uploading (50% by December) Feb/March 2012 = Stage 2 data collection (filming)

Familiarity with handbook / materials (post-training) 4. Permission forms signed by students (soon!) 5. Filming (by end of November) 6. Focus group with 4 students (just after filming) 7. Interview with teacher (week after filming) 8. Selection of episodes (with or without teacher?) Stage 2 – February/March 2012
