The Perl community, in general, is resistant to Windows. Yet it is the most prevalent operating system, and we're doing ourselves a disservice by dismissing it outright.

In order to get more people, kids particularly, interested in Perl, we need to embrace Windows, and thank Bill Gates for providing a "gateway drug" that can lead to future Perl developers.
