Iraq is a country in the Middle East. Iraq is surrounded by

The first true civilization in world history has appeared in
Mesopotamia. This development has taken place on the
fertile flood plains of the rivers such as tinges Euphrates.
Here, the fertile soil brought down from the mountains by
the great rivers has given rise to much denser population
than elsewhere. The arid climate, plus dangerous spring
floods, has called for the creation of large-scale watercontrol system, to channel and store water for cops, also to
protect communities from the raging waters.
The average temperature in Iraq ranges from higher than
48 degree c and 120 f. A majority of the rainfall occurs from
December through April. Rain is more abundant in the
mountainous Region and may reach up to 100 centimeters a
year. In some places the Iraqi climate is similar to that of the
extreme south western United States with hot, dry summers,
cold winters, and a pleasant spring fall. The climate affects
the people because in the hot times they stay outdoors so
they could get cucumbers and tomato’s.
. Historically, Iraq’s economy was characterized by heavy
dependence on oil exports and emphasis on development
through central planning. Prior to the outbreak of the war
with Iran in September 1980, Iraq’s economic prospects were

barrels per day, and oil revenues were $21 billion in 1979
