B Labs - Mobile Virtualization for Android, Linux on ARM processors B Labs - Mobile Virtualization for Android, Linux on ARM processors Presentation Transcript

  • B LABSMobile Virtualization Bahadir Balban Founder, B Labs bbalban@b-labs.com
  • Mobile is becoming the primary platform. But: We have limited control on what software we can put on a device. Software design approaches are archaic and conservative. Operating systems are complex. Very hard to change once deployed. We can install some apps, and thats all we can do in software.
  • How do you break limits?
  • Think of a piece of software that lets you Install/modify/manage your OS programmatically. Deploy any kind of software stack, not just operating systems. Deploy as many environments as the hardware capacity allows. Take full control on the device you use. Try different combinations and interactions Experience design flexibility and freedom
  • A hypervisor lets you unlock limits in software. A hypervisor is the true hardware supervisor. It takes full control of a device. Lets you install or manage any OS Lets you create as many environments as you need on a device. Lets you try different combinations limited only by imagination. Allow flexibility at design time.
  • CODEZERO® Embedded Hypervisor  Manage multiple systems  Create isolated virtual environments  New interactions  Leverage full hardware capacity  Try new designs and possibilities.
  • Limited Mobile computing. Wasted hardware.  Hard to differentiate Android devices.  Limited software design options.  Software is manually partitioned into several physical processors
  • Mobile Virtualization  Differentiates Android devices with new capabilities, e.g. split OS devices.  Accommodates multiple systems.  Reduces hardware and costs
  • Key Members  Founded in 2008 with mission to redefine mobile operating systems technology  Technically strong in OS architecture, Virtualization, ARM processors, Linux  Capable team who delivered a complex product
  • Thank you. Bahadır BalbanFounder, Tech Director B Labs bbalban@b-labs.com
