  • 2. Early Life <ul><li>Pizarro was born in Trujillo, Spain 1478 </li></ul><ul><li>He never went to school there for he did not know how to read </li></ul><ul><li>His parents never got married </li></ul><ul><li>He had a father that fought in the Neopolitan wars and his mother was “normal” </li></ul><ul><li>His family was poor </li></ul><ul><li>Later his mom married someone else and Pizarro had several half brothers </li></ul>
  • 3. Previous Experience <ul><li>As a living Pizarro herded pigs </li></ul><ul><li>When he was 15 in 1502 he moved to the West Indies and lived with his dad’s brother </li></ul><ul><li>It is said that his dad’s brother might of helped him in his expeditions but not completely sure </li></ul>
  • 4. Exploration <ul><li>His 1st exploration was in 1509 </li></ul><ul><li>The ship went to Panama City and stayed there </li></ul><ul><li>In 1527 Pizarro made his own exploration down South America and had wars with the Incas until he captured the Inca king </li></ul><ul><li>Incas wanted their king back </li></ul><ul><li>If Pizarro got a room of gold & two times the amount of silver then he would give back the king </li></ul>

Results <ul><li>The Incas gave Pizarro what he wanted, but killed the king anyway </li></ul><ul><li>He became the new king of Peru (where the Incas had lived) </li></ul><ul><li>After Pizarro’s exploration Spain became the greatest country in the world </li></ul><ul><li>The remaining Incas were converted to Catholicism </li></ul>
  • 6. Conclusion <ul><li>Francisco Pizarro later traveled down to Lima and there he was murdered by the king’s son </li></ul><ul><li>He died in 1541 </li></ul><ul><li>Pizarro was not given a proper burial, he was left in Peru </li></ul><ul><li>Pizarro is now remembered as a bad man because he killed innocent people like children and women </li></ul>
