    • Amerigo Vespucci was born on March 18,
    • 1454 in Florence,Italy.
    • His uncle,Giorgio Antonio Vespucci,taught young Amerigo.
    • Giorgio also interested Amerigo in astronomy and to study the universe.
    • Vespucci’s dad was Stagio and his mom was Elisabetta.
    Early Life

    • Amerigo’s family was quite wealthy.
    • Amerigo tried being a banker as a job,but that didn’t go too well.
    • At one point in his life Amerigo even got a job as a merchant.
    • While Amerigo was doing his third job, a supplier, he found what he wanted to be.Be a sailor.

    • Amerigo Vespucci discovered that there was another continent other than Europe and Asia.
    • Amerigo Vespucci landed in South America and saw the north end of Brazil.
    • Amerigo guessed the circumference of the world and was within 50 miles of the correct distance!
    • Some hardships at sea were ration cuts, sickness, and unsanitary living quarters.

    • Amerigo made mapmakers add many miles to their maps.
    • Amerigo then became famous.

    • Amerigo Vespucci died on February 22,112 at the age of 57.
    • Vespucci died of malaria.
    • Amerigo died at Seville,Spain.
