Some facts  17 million people  On 41,526 km2 (16,033 sq mi)  Kingdom  Democracy  We speak our languages: 70% speaks English, 60% German  Multicultural / Multireligion

Some online facts  14 million of the 17 million are online (85%)  Thats 3,4% of all Europeans online  all youngsters are online at least once a week  Over 5 million on broadband (in -'08) - 2nd highest penetration worldwide  80% has a mobile phone

Brands are on social media  35 out of the top 100 brands is on social media  Twitter most used  2nd Hyves followed by Netlog, Facebook, Linkedin and blogs  for campaigning purposes  Pages left for dead after the campaign  Brands are there but don't know what to do

Our future

Kids very social media minded  1/3 of 8yr olds has a Hyves account...  ...with over 50 friend connections  MSN most used social media tool  Kids watching less tv and looking more tv online  24% of 15 -19 yr olds use YouTube to watch tv- shows  Youngsters are not using Twitter
