And it provides the first step inbecoming a Project Certified Trainer. Because of the three randomized clinical trials (RCT)conducted by researchers at the Project, PCOMS is now included in SAMHSA’s NationalRegistry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP).Becoming “client directed” starts with capitalizing on the common factors (the clients resourcesand resiliencies, the clients view of the alliance, and the clients hope for recovery) andunderstanding the research that supports these pantheoretical elements that account fortherapeutic transformation across models and schools of thought. This includes a thoroughknowledge of the empirical research about evidence based treatments, and more importantly, how to understand and help others to understand what can and cannot be claimed about modeleffectiveness.Becoming outcome informed, a revolutionary development in the field for consumers andtherapists, starts with an understanding of the combined research supporting Lambert’s OQThe Heart and Soul of ChangeProject and the University ofNew England are pleased toannounce the 2013 SummerTraining of TrainersConference.
