Presentation delivered at the second annual PCC Employment Outreach Event, An all welcome, all community, all about getting employed free conference for PA and NJ residents. Presentation includes Clare Hart's lessons learned in the process of finding the next, RIGHT, role. A job search is a process, in fact, in many ways it is a full-time job. Ms. Hart talks about her experience and the disciplined approach to the following job search activities:
• Personal skills assessment: what you like to do and do well and what you don't like to do and therefore should stay away from in your next role.
• Targeting companies
• Networking
• Tracking progress
• Following up with people who assist you in your search.
Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude during the slower and darker days of your search.
