Paper Craft Planet Presents Back to Basics with Stampendous: Lesson 8

 1. 1. Back to Basics

Rubber Stamping Techniques and Tips

Lesson 8 and present
 2. 2. Shape Shifting ™ Technique Several Stampendous Perfectly Clear™ Stamps designs are created so you can deliberately change their shape by distorting them on the acrylic handle. To give these open shapes so much versatility we’ve removed the stamp material from the center. Treat them with extra care, especially when removing them from the carrier sheet for the first time.
 3. 3. Stretchy Spooks Card Stretchy Spooks Perfectly Clear™ Stamps set lets you create dozens of different ghosts and jack o’lanterns for Halloween. You’ll love how versatile these stretchy shapes are. See all the shape shifting clear stamps at Products are shipped by local retailers for quick delivery.
 4. 4. Stretchy Spooks Card Supplies used to make this card: From Stampendous SSC1056 Stretchy Spooks Perfectly Clear™ Stamps SSH46 Large Acrylic Handle EP100 White Embossing Powder From Tsukineko: White VersaColor™ Pigment ink Onyx Black VersaFine™ ink Card stock from Bazzill Basics™ Festive Black card stock Vellum Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L – EZ Runner Plus: Embossing Heat Tool, Scissors
 5. 5. Stretchy Spooks Card

Cut all pieces of card stock needed for card:

1 – 8 ½” X 5 ½” panel of Festive

1 – 2” X 4 ¼” panel of Black

1 – panel of Vellum at least 5” X 5”

You can get Vellum in various thicknesses at any craft supply store. Use a card stock thickness when embossing.
 6. 6. Stretchy Spooks Card Ease the ghost image into desired shape on acrylic handle and add eyes and mouth. Treat your ghost image gently, he’s weak at the bottom “v”. This allows him to change shape easily. Return him to his carrier sheet when done stamping. Stamp him with white pigment ink on the vellum panel. Sprinkle image with white embossing powder, shake off excess and return to jar. Heat to melt and set powder.
 7. 7. Stretchy Spooks Card Cut out your ghost and turn him over. On the back side use a black permanent marker to give him irises in his eyes. This adds a lot of dimension to your spook. Note: When you cut close to embossed shapes, leave a little paper edge to avoid chipping the embossing powder.
 8. 8. Stretchy Spooks Card Using white ink and white embossing powder, emboss various eyes from the Stretchy Spooks set all over the black panel to form a random background.
 9. 9. Stretchy Spooks Card Stamp the spooky greeting in black ink on the folded orange card stock panel. Glue your ghost’s middle to the back of the black panel making sure his hand is in front of the panel. Then apply adhesive to entire panel and glue to front of card.
 10. 10. Stretchy Spooks Card A quick, easy and dimensional greeting to spook the little ghosts on your Halloween list.
