Gender equality mechanisms and normative frameworks in RBEC Countries • 15 Countries in the RBEC region have National Gender Equality Strategy/Action Plan • Law on Gender Equality is in place in 18 Countries of the RBEC region • Law on Gender Based violence are in place in 19 Countries of RBEC region • National Machinery for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment is in place in 21 Countries of RBEC Region • Cross ministerial gender trainings are organized in 8 Countries of the RBEC Region • 8 Countries of the RBEC region have incorporated Gender perspective into their National Strategies / Action Plans for sustainable environmental management • In 12 Countries of the National Development Plan are making reference to gender equality implications
