  2. 2. What is LB? I define link building as the active pursuit of going out and acquiring links.
  3. 3. Google alboritms ● Google Panda: update focus on the content. It was launch the first time 23rd of February 2011. How changes the content after Panda? ● You should not copy the content of others. ● Think in people not in Search engeniers, keyword stuffing it is not allowed. ● ● Make the content interested for people→→You will get more shares and likes. Take care not to duplicate the content.

What changes our LB after Penguin? ● ● Variety of anchor text: Find webs on your niche, with the same temathic or speaking about the same issues. ● Quality not quantity. ● Natural links or with a real value: not hidden links, spinning etc

How should the links be? ● Always set the link in a web with related content. ● Use of differents Anchor Text. ● Not site wide links ● Using Brand Name vs Keywords Since Google's Penguin update ● Importance of links inserted in a post mainly because for google that look likes the more natural way. It is highly recommended not to insert do follow links in the footer, sidebar. ● Backlinks from webs with different Domains and different PR. ● Backlinks from webs with the same language. ● Relevant links: in webs related with the topic of your web. ● Good balance between links Do follow/ No follow

In a natural way: the link should be related with the topic of the post The anchor text should be placed in a natural way too. We can insert another external link to a quality web: wikipedia, social media, magazine etc

  12. 12. What are Domains? ● Top-Level Domain (TLD) Top-level domains (like .com) are the extensions associated with domain names. For best ranking results, avoid uncommon top-level domains (TLDs)
  13. 13. What is a Domain? ● Root Domains Is the top level hierarchy of a domain. The following are examples of root domains. * * * ● Subdomain Is part of a larger, top-level domain, “” and "" are both subdomains of the "" root domain. If another website links to you, this is considered an external link to your site. Similarly, if you link out to another website, this is also considered an external link. ● Top SEOs believe that external links are the most important source of ranking power. ● External links pass "link juice" (ranking power) differently than internal links. →→ Metrics to determine the value of external links ● ● The trustworthiness of the linking domain→→MozTrust: can be improved by getting links from other sites with high MozTrust such as goverment institutions and universities. The higher the quality of the incoming links, the higher the MozRank. ● The relevancy of the content between the source page and the target page. ● The anchor text used in the link.The amount of links to the same page on the source page. ● The amount of domains that link to the target page. ● The amount of variations that are used as anchor text to links to the target page.
  16. 16. Anchor text ● ● Anchor Text is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink. In modern browsers, it is often blue and underlined. Importance of the First Anchor Text: Moz experiments have shown that if two links are targeting the same URL, only the anchor text used in the first link is counted by Google.

Natural anchor text distribution ● ● Branded terms Generic anchors: Generic anchor texts, like "here", "this site" and "website" are a great way to make your anchor text distribution look more natural. ● Naked Urls: ● Titles: the title of the post you are linking too. ● A lot of links pointing to your home page look unnatural specially in webs with a lot of content.
  18. 18. Link Relevancy ● ● Links coming from unrelated sites is a Penguin risk factor. Check your link profile's site level relevancy: you'll see the homepage URLs of the sites that link to you and check if they are related with your web one by one.

  20. 20. Metrics ● ● Page Autorothy (PA) Page Authority is Moz's calculated metric for how well a given webpage is likely to rank in's search results. To install it→→ MozBar ● Domain Autorothy( DA) Whereas Page Authority measures the predictive ranking strength of a single page, Domain Authority measures the strength of entire domains or subdomains. To install it→→ MozBar ● MozRank (mR) Represents a link popularity score. It reflects the importance of any given web page on the Internet. It is similar to MozRank, but rather than measuring link popularity, it measures link trust. Receiving links from sources with inherent trus such as goverment or university web pages. Citation Flow is a number of predicting how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it. The values for citation and trust flow are between 0 and 100, where Google is a 99 on both
