  • 2. <ul><li>I’m a senior at MSUM and will be graduating on July 2009 </li></ul><ul><li>I’m a Mass Communication major with emphasis is Public Relations </li></ul><ul><li>Currently I live in Moorhead with my sister and my little pooch </li></ul>
  • 3. <ul><li>Music: I love all kinds of music. I’m not that into jazz and classical music though. </li></ul><ul><li>I love my friends and love to hang out with them </li></ul><ul><li>Singing: I was in a rock band throughout my school years </li></ul><ul><li>Traveling: I have travelled to lot of places and beaches have always been the most exciting ones </li></ul>
  • 4. <ul><li>Movies: if I don’t have anything else to do, movies are always a thumbs up </li></ul><ul><li>Finally, the best of all is spending time with my little dog. He is my lucky charm </li></ul>
  • 5. <ul><li>1892 – 1973 </li></ul><ul><li>Born in Hillsboro, WV </li></ul><ul><li>Undergraduate degree from Randolph- Macon Woman’s College, Lynchburg, VA (1914) </li></ul><ul><li>Master’s degree from Cornell University (1925) </li></ul>
  • 6. <ul><li>Became a writer at an early age </li></ul><ul><li>Her novel, The Good Earth (1931), rocketed her from obscurity to international fame </li></ul><ul><li>The Good Earth was translated into thirty languages </li></ul>
  • 7. <ul><li>It inspired a Broadway play and a Hollywood film, and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize </li></ul><ul><li>In 1938, having published several other novels, she won the Nobel Prize in literature </li></ul><ul><li>Late in life she turned more to philanthropy, especially to the cause of East-West understanding </li></ul>
