  • Guiding Principles For
  • Principle #1 Unity in diversity GOD *Oneness
  • "Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him." Romans 14:1-3
  • "Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. If you observe the day, observe it to the Lord. If you don't observe the day, Romans 14:4-5 observe all the days to the Lord”.
  • Principle #1 Unity in diversity GOD The devil *Oneness *throw apart
  • Principle #1 Unity in diversity GOD Community church of Christ *Oneness *Unity Shared Vision: “People reaching people for Christ”
  • Principle #3 Let your conscience be you guide
  • Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin". Romans 14:22-23
  • Principle #3 Let your conscience overhauled
  • faith TWO MAIN components: 1. Assent – belief (paniniwala), mind – reason 2. Trust – relationship (pagtitiwala), heart – person
  • Principle #4 You need to Seek peace with other Christians above personal freedom
  • Romans 14:19 "Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another."
  • Principle #5 Learn how to get along
  • Romans 15:5 “Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,”
  • Romans 15:10 “Again he says, ‘Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people.’"
  • “And again, ‘Praise the Lord all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise Him.’" Romans 15:11
  • “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
  • Paul’s Model ministry Romans 15:17-20 “Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.” “For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,”
  • Paul’s Model ministry “in the power of signs Romans 15:19 and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”
  • Paul’s Model ministry “And thus I aspired Romans 15:20-21 to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, so that I would not build on another man's foundation;” “but as it is written, ‘They who had no news of Him shall see, and they who have not heard shall understand.’”
  • Paul’s Plan “whenever I go to Romans 15:22-29 Spain--for I hope to see you in passing, and to be helped on my way there by you, when I have first enjoyed your company for a while—“
  • “Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,” Romans 15:30
  • “that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove Romans 15:31 acceptable to the saints;”
  • “Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.” Romans 15:33
  • Principle # 6 Make friends Romans 16
