    Culture is all the things that make up a people’s way of life.
  • 3. The Seven Elements of Culture
    Government: provides for the common needs or protection, order and safety
    Religion: Answers the basic questions about the meaning and purpose of life
  • 4. The Seven Elements of Culture
    Customs and Traditions: accepted rules of behaviors and traditional practices of a culture
    Social Organization: how people and places are divided into smaller, more manageable ones
  • 5. The Seven Elements of Culture
    Arts: dance, drama, literature, music and visual arts of a culture
    Economy: how people use limited resources to satisfy basic wants and needs
  • 6. The Seven Elements of Culture
    Language: the way thoughts, feelings and knowledge are passed on. Language is NOT always verbal!
