7. 7. FACTORS TO DEVELOP PERSONALITY
persistence: persistence is consistency, steadiness.and its continuing even in adverse circumstances failing, learning and doing again and again until one succeeds in the Endeavour. persistence is not only a thought it is the habit of taking action. through persistence you get success and with success you may even start to like your present dislikes
empathy:it is the ability to put oneself into another person's situation and treat people the way you would like to be treated if you were them and more over it creates understanding.
rationality: To be successful in life, some decisions have to be taken logically and reasonably to win in life.
10. 10. Motivation
 11. 11. Commitment

PERCEPTION
perception is an intellectual process where an individual organizes and interprets his sensory impressions to give meaning to the environment.
Perception is tainted by attitude. Answer. Your attitude is the result of your perceptions. 2 people with different perceptions look at the same thing and thus think about it differently, and end up..
12. 12. Positive and Negative conditioning
I have learnt to unlearn self destruction behavior and learn positive behavior e.g. - fear it can be unlearned
Resistance to change –I was always safe in my comfort zone but now, I learnt that doesn’t work any more and so shifted or came out of comfort zone
Discipline and commitment – it was tough but now I am disciplined and have committed to work
Positive attitude – breaking and replacing old habits with new positive one
13. 13. Time management
Time management is nothing but the person should utilize the given time in a proper way to produce a positive results and rejecting those activities which either waste time or produce negative results.
14. 14. Barriers that we came across for managing time efficiently
likes and dislikes: peoples tend to do things which they like instead of do things which are important. such an attitude always leaves important work unfinished to produce negative results in life.
Lack of discipline: success in life cannot be achieved without discipline. a disciplined person is also a good time manager.
Procrastination: it is the negative habit of putting things off for a later time i.e. postponing the work
Weak interest in life: therefore it produces weak personalities and poor time managers.
Improper reference groups: a negative reference group will never allow productive activities to be performed
15. 15. To over come these types of barriers we should follow
Prioritize
Do it now
Set goals, achieve goals
Put things in writing
Use wasted time.
16. 16. Importance of time:
Time is a special resource that you cannot store or save it for a later use every one has the exact same amount of time of each day. Time once used cannot be retrieved.
Through time management you can' the time you need, & not jus wait for it to come . By planning your time wisely , you will have more time to do more things.
17. 17. How individual can be a better planner in terms of time management?
Keep everything in writing i.e. by using planner or diary and decide what is most important and do that first
don't do things based on your likes and dislikes
do the things first which is most important and useful.
stop keeping works pending and postponing
do the most difficult job first
18. 18. Leadership:
It is the art or process of influencing people so that they perform assigned tasks willingly and in an efficient and effective manner. Leadership is, therefore crucial in motivating and inspiring the work force. Not every human being has leadership qualities and it s a unique talent that is available in a few people
19. 19. Basic qualities of leaders
Good communication skill
Honesty
Visionary outlook
Selecting a good team
Action speaks louder than words
Ability to motivate people around
Consistency
Ability to stand against critics
21. 21. Five Most Important Leadership TraitsFor An Individual
Honest
Forward-Looking
Competent
Inspiring
Intelligent
22. 22. Honesty as a Leadership Quality
People want to follow an honest leader. Years ago, many employees started out by assuming that their leadership was honest simply because the authority of their position. With modern scandals, this is no longer true.
When you start a leadership position, you need to assume that people will think you are a little dishonest. In order to be seen as an honest individual, you will have to go out of your way to display honesty. People will not assume you are honest simply because you have never been caught lying.
23. 23. Forward-Looking as a Leadership Trait
The whole point of leadership is figuring out where to go from where you are now. While you may know where you want to go, people won’t see that unless you actively communicate it with them. Remember, these traits aren’t just things you need to have, they are things you need to actively display to those around you.
When people do not consider their leader forward-looking, that leader is usually suffering from one of two possible problems:
The leader doesn’t have a forward-looking vision.
The leader is unwilling or scared to share the vision with others.
24. 24. Competency as a Leadership Quality
People want to follow someone who is competent. This doesn’t mean a leader needs to be the foremost expert on every area of the entire organization, but they need to be able to demonstrate competency.
For a leader to demonstrate that they are competent, it isn’t enough to just avoid displaying incompetency. Some people will assume you are competent because of your leadership position, but most will have to see demonstrations before deciding that you are competent.
25. 25. Inspiration as a Leadership Trait
People want to be inspired. In fact, there is a whole class of people who will follow an inspiring leader–even when the leader has no other qualities. If you have developed the other traits in this article, being inspiring is usually just a matter of communicating clearly and with passion. Being inspiring means telling people how your organization is going to change the world.
26. 26. Intelligence as a Leadership Trait
Intelligence is something that can be difficult to develop. The road toward becoming more intelligent is difficult, long and can’t be completed without investing considerable time. Developing intelligence is a lifestyle choice. Your college graduation was the beginning of your education, not the end. In fact, much of what is taught in college functions merely as a foundational language for lifelong educational experiences.
27. 27. Some of my leadership qualities are
Oral communication –communicating verbally with customers
Written communication –communicating thoughts and ideas through reports, email etc
Continuous improvement – understanding the goals and the objective of the program that we are doing
Decision making – gather information understand it and quickly and efficiently make decisions on how to proceed
28. 28. Transactional analysis:
Method for determining how people interact
When we interact, behavior can be:
passive
aggressive
assertive
Performance is greater with this behavior
TA is a method of understanding behavior in interpersonal dynamics
29. 29. We operate from three ego states.
Parent –behaviors ,thoughts and feelings are copied from parents or parent figures.
Adult-behaviors ,thoughts and feelings are direct responses to here and now.
Child-behaviors ,thoughts and feelings are replayed from childhood.
