What is BAIAbase?• Wiki-style database of companies that – Are US subsidiaries of Italian companies or with Italian owners – Are Italian subsidiaries of American companies – Facilitates business between Italy and USA• How does it work? – Leverage crowdsourcing to keep data up to date – Anybody can add/change/update a company – Open to anyone, Free to list• A true, open, living directory of US-Italy business

BrowsingUsers can browse througha list of companies byselecting industry andsectors category or inalphabetical order.

BrowsingWithin each category,companies are listed withsome basic information sothat users can quickly seewhich companies they wantto view and click on thelistings they are interestedin. BAIAbase has thecapability to highlight orfeature specific listings ineach category.

SearchingUsers can also search thedatabase based on severalcriteria. They can selectkeywords, one or multiplecategories, language,location and other searchcriteria…

Searching… When users selectwhether to search forcompanies based in theUSA or in Italy, the searchcriteria changedynamically to enablesearching for specificcompany characteristics.For examples, in Italy userscan search “Italiansubsidiaries of UScompanies”…

Searching… Or in the US, users cansearch for “US companieswith Italian ownership”.

ViewingEach company listed in thedatabase has a dedicatedpage which displays all theinformation that usershave contributed about thecompany, including sector,description, classification ofthe type of US-Italyactivity, address, # ofemployees, contactinformation, stage, Linkedinand Facebook companyprofiles, etc.

EditingAny user can click on abutton and add informationor change the existinginformation about acompany. All changes mustbe approved by aBAIAbase administratorand are not published untilthey are approved.

AddingIf a company is not listed inthe database, any user cancreate a new companylisting. All new companiesadded to the database mustmeet the minimum listingcriteria and must beapproved by a BAIAbaseadministrator.

The VisionBAIAbase will be the public, open, always updated Italy-US business database of reference• A public service• Deep company data (financials, milestones, news, contacts, products, etc.)• Rich Industry and segment reporting• Valuable research, analysis and marketing tool• Used by companies, institutions, foundations and individuals
