Tips/Tricks and Issues

Have two change assistant servers (4 PS_Homes)

Create PT 8.44 app/webservers and PT 8.49 app/webservers before you start, again on separate servers.

Make sure to increase log file size!!

Be aware of the transition from SQL Server 2000 to 2005, there is a step that checks database version in 9.0 template. You can do it then.

Also keep app/web server on CA8.4 server until PeopleTools Upgrade (Ch2) – configuration manager

When you move make sure to change the report node.

Tips/Tricks and Issues

Upgrade path to 9.0MP5 became available during upgrade process, decided to go to 9.0MP5.

If you are still on the Initial Upgrade path, you just need to apply MP5 to your 9.0 demo database and some additional patches. Then continue upgrade as usual.
