Embedded systems Ph:7842522786 9948887244 2013 A Fast and Easy-to-Use ECG Acquisition and Heart Rate Monitoring System Using a Wireless Steering Wheel Abstract This work presents a novel easy-to-use system intended for the fast and noninvasive monitoring of the Lead I electrocardiogram (ECG) signal by using a wireless steering wheel. The steering wheel used here is a prototype model. The system uses a dual ground electrode configuration connected to a low-power analog front-end to reduce 50/60Hz interference. A novel heart rate detection algorithm based on the continuous wavelet transform has been implemented, which is specially designed to be robust against the most common sources of noise and interference present when acquiring the ECG in the hands. The heart beat level also detected here using Heart beat sensor. The algorithm shows acceptable performance even under nonordinary high levels of tested in normal use with subjects of different age, gender, and physical condition. Existing System: In this existing system, there is device to monitor the Heart beat level and ECG level of a person in hospitals alone. There is no onsite monitoring of the person’s heartbeat and ECG level while driving a vehicle. So, we go to our proposed system. Proposed System: In this project, we are going to monitor the heat beat and ECG level of a person above the age of 45. The full model of our system is placed in a steering wheel model. The heart beat sensor is clipped in the finger of the driving person of the vehicle. The ECG Sensor is also fixed in the fore arms or wrist of that person. The status of the sensor’s which placed in the person’s body will transmit the value to the PC section through Zigbee transceiver. The sensor will produce the Analog value will be converted to digital signals through ADC circuit.
