  • 10. A noun is a person, place or thing. Sarah laughs out loud. Sarah is the noun in this sentence, because Sarah is a person.
  • 11. Here is another example. Whales swim fast in the ocean. Whales are a noun because they are a thing. The ocean is a noun because it is a place.
  • 12. Alright, it’s your turn. I’ll help. The pizza tastes delicious. Which word is the noun? Pizza is the noun because it is a thing.
  • 13. See if you can find the underlined word that is a noun in this sentence. David is around the corner. 1. David 2. is 3. around
  • 14. See if you can identify the noun. David is around the corner. Is it #1? David Is this a person, place or thing? Yes, David is a noun because it is a person.
