    • Employs prime movers such as diesel or petrol engines, steam turbines, hydraulic motors and electric motors.
    • Drives employing electric motors are known as Electrical drives .

    • Available in wide range of speed, torque and power.
    • Longer life, lower noise, lower maintenance, and cleaner operation.
    • Adaptable to any operating conditions.

    • There is no need to refuel or warm-up the motor.
    • Powered by electrical energy which as a number of advantages.
