  • Indie: New Kind, New Adventures İlkyaz Deniz Bilgiç 9-C
  • What is indie music? • Independent music (often shortened to indie music or indie) is music produced independently from major commercial record labels or their subsidiaries, a process that may include an autonomous, do-it- yourself-approach to recording and publishing. The term indie is sometimes also used to describe a genre (such as indie rock, indie metal or indie pop); as a genre term, "indie" may include music that is not independently produced, and most independent music artists do not fall into a single, defined musical style or genre and usually create music that can be categorized into other genres.
  • Some Indie Bands • The XX (Indie-Pop) • Two Door Cinema Club (Indie-Rock, Electro-Pop, Post-Punk) • Vampire Weekend (Indie-Rock/Pop, Baroque-Pop) • Arctic Monkeys (Indie-Rock, Post-Punk, Garage-Rock) • Phantogram (Electronic-Rock) • Phoenix (Synth-Pop, Indie-Rock) • Foster The People (Indie-Rock, Indie-Pop, Indie-Electronic) • Of Monsters And Men (Indie-Pop, Indie-Rock, Indie-Folk) • Passion Pit (Indie-Electronic, Synth-Pop, Indie-Pop) • Say Lou Lou (Dream-Pop, Indie-Pop)
  • My Indie Love • My indie adventure started with at the very first moment I’ve heard ‘’This Is The Life’’ song by Two Door Cinema Club in a photoshoot video of my favorite celebrity. When I first listened to beginning part of the song, I said ‘’I need to listen more of it.’’ Then, I started to research what was its genre and how could I find more?
  • My Indie Love • After a while, I’ve found myself with an Indie Playlist which is already fulled with hundreds of song in it. Of course now, I listen to a lot of bands but I have two favorite bands in advance. My calm but crazy Irish boys Two Door Cinema Club and a band full of insane English-freak guys Vampire Weekend
  • Two Door Cinema Club • Two Door Cinema Club are a Northern Irish indie rock band from Bangor and Donaghadee County Down, formed in 2007. The band consists of Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, beats, synths), Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Kevin Baird (bass, backing vocals). • The band's debut album, Tourist History was released on 1 March 2010 by French independent record label Kitsuné Music. In the United States, where the band are signed to Glassnote Records, the album was released on 27 April 2010. Tourist History was selected for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year (2010) the following year. • The band's second album Beacon was released on 3 September 2012, debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart and reached number two in the UK Albums Chart • .
  • … • Trimble, Halliday and Baird formed another band shortly after the demise of their first musical project; on this occasion, a permanent drummer was not included. The new band's name was taken from Halliday's mispronunciation of the name of the local cinema, the Tudor Cinema;[3] in 2007, Two Door Cinema Club was formed. Following an increased interest in the band's social network page, the three members forewent their university places and commenced work on studio material.
