  • 2. Today’s Objectives...We will answer point of view questions aboutAct 5.We will discuss the relationship betweengroups of characters.We will self edit and peer edit our papers.We will discuss our ideas, reactions andquestions about the play by talking aboutthe questions we wrote.
  • 3. Warm Up: Whose point of view?What is point of view? Point of view:Each of the sentences does not appear inthe play... but, if they did, who would say them? use each character 2 times: Romeo, Juliet, Paris, Friar Lawrence, Lord Capulet.When you finish, work with a partner towrite more point of view sentences on theback.

Relationships between charactersWe will get into small groups of 2-3.You will be given a list of 4 characters and alist of different “relationships” - ways thecharacters might be connected.Your group needs to decide: Which character doesn’t belong with the other 3. What the relationship is between the 3 remaining characters. Choose from the list. Then, discuss how you know that this is the relationship between them.
