  • Bern7 Bernard Hardy & Hardy's Corner, Retired at * Sorry Avalok, I couldn’t post on your wall.
For the administrators of group 'FOR A BETTER WORLD' - information
I wanted to share with you my surprise, ... my deep dismay .... One of our 30 administrators at replaced the original logo I created for this group, without warning, with an image that has no meaning...This is really a joke in very bad taste! A totally childish attitude and unacceptable.. The problem is that Slideshare can not change the logo (technical problem). Thus, due to a completely zany person who abuses his duties as an administrator must-I close the group or remove all administrators? No! I can not penalize all members because of one person who is not responsible! But it's also my fault because I gave my trust and power to a person who does not respect the sense of responsibility as administrator. I'm sorry for the conduct of that person. This person does not even have the courtesy to let me know so I can intervene and try to change the logo. And you understand that I am very disappointed by this behavior. At today ... I do not know yet what I'll do ... I just wanted to communicate clearly. I do not want to polemize...But that this does not spoil the holiday season ... :-))) I am sorry. Have a nice week my friends. Bernard

  • Suy61 São Ludovino, Teacher at School Silk, so soft and smooth! The colours are bright, the patterns mix the old and new! These are only pieces of cloth?! No! Thousands crossed the world in search of silk, before learning how to do it everywhere. In the Europe of the 15th and 16th centuries silk meant richness, a high social status, a rare and precious beauty. Why did silk seduce so many in the past as today? Was it the bright colours, the soft texture, the reflects of light as if the cloth was a mirror able to capture light, was it the association with the Far East, the illusion of touching those exotic and distant places? Silk has indeed some seducing material and symbolical characteristics that surpass the mere commercial and social convention. Looking at these silk saris once again I have the feeling that silk looks different all over the world. Each thing seems to have its right place in the world. The material may be the same, but a sari wore by an Indian woman looks quite different from a silk blouse wore by a girl in Paris. What make the difference are people and places. Silk may make any woman to look beautiful and elegant, but Indian women make silk seem more beautiful, elegant and precious. Greetings from Portugal. 3 years ago
