  • Windows Mobile 6.5 is the next version of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform and is sporting a new User Interface both with the Homescreen and the start menu. The Homescreen now features sliding panels which you would have seen on Windows Mobile 6.1 standard, non touchscreen, devices and a honeycomb interface in place of the tradition grid seen in the All Programs menu.The biggest announcement, in my opinion, was the partnership announcement between Microsoft and LG resulting in LG producing 50 Windows Mobile devices by the end of 2009 – a major victory for Microsoft to bring Windows Mobile into the consumer market.Other features include a Windows Mobile Marketplace allowing users to purchase applications from one central repository via their Windows Phone or Windows PC. No word if this will be supported on MAC OSX as well.Mobile Express for Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides users with a Web based CRM client that works on any HTML rendering device, small or large. The user interface can be customized to show only the types of objects that an organization wants to expose to mobile users
