Background • Action for Children is made up of approximately 7,000 staff and 2,000 volunteers who work directly with over 250,000 children, young people, parents and carers. • We run more that 650 services across the four nations of the UK working across national boundaries to provide a range of innovative services for children in care, disabled children and young people. • We support and speak out for the UK’s most vulnerable and neglected children and young people – for as long as it takes to make a difference in their lives.
  • 3. Existing E-Learning Portfolio Safeguarding Foundation Equality and Diversity Behaviour Support Foundation Skills development elearning modules Health, Safety and Wellbeing Communication ‘Pass it On’
  • 4. Pre-employment Induction Programme • Organisation-wide project requiring strong project management. • Opportunity to develop a creative and innovative solution and expand our elearning portfolio • Opportunity to involve young people in content development – scripting and voice recording.
  • 5. Project Challenges • Content development - Internal change programme effectively ‘paused’ the project for 9-months. - The organisation has evolved in terms of the quality of communication and asset development. • Time management - Achieving timely sign-off. • Key stakeholder changes during the project. • Developing the hosting platform.
