  • SAINT VALENTINE’S DAY
  • History
    • Saint Valentine’s Day origins are:
    • the Roman festival of Lupercalia
    • the sad story of a Christian named Valentine.
  • History
    • Many years ago, the Romans honored the goddess Juno, guardian of women and marriage.
    • At the festival, all unmarried people played a special game. All the females wrote their names on pieces of paper and dropped them into a big jar. Then, all the males picked up names from the jar and spent the festival dancing with that woman.

  • Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you. And so are they that send you this and when we meet we’ll have a kiss . Plenty of love tons of kisses I hope one day to be your Mrs. My love is like a cabbage divided into two, the leaves I give to the others, the heart I give to you. If life should end tomorrow and from this world I should part, I shall be forever young for you have touched my heart.
