    • Water Wars By: McKynna & Kwynn Kelly, and Avery Geisler
    • Dirty or clean? Imagine yourself drinking lake water out of desperation. Now imagine African families dying from drinking the only water they have. The stream water is polluted and they still drink it. What if I told you, that you didn’t have to imagine? If you could see this happening every day…
    • Our Water
    • Future
      • U.S. is first on the list of top bottle water consumers
      • In 2004 we (U.S.) drank approximately 26 billion liters of water.
      • The prediction is that by 2030 this will be 520 billion liters of water consumed in the U.S.
      • This would be a 200% increase.
    • 40% + 20 - 40% 10 - 20% 5 - 10% Key: State water Usage 2 - 5% 1 - 2% 0 - 1% Percent of Bottled Water Usage in States
    • Taste Test
      • We conducted a blind water taste test at our school.
      • We asked our class what bottled water they drank.
      • The top answer was Aquafina,
      • The four samples we used were Aquafina, Figi, Lincoln tap, and HyVee distilled.
      • We had 106 people take the blind taste test.
    • Results
    • What we know
      • The U.S. has destroyed 60% of our wetlands.
      • We are pumping 15% more water than what can be renewed.
      • Success in Wisconsin where they drove out Nestle.
      • Everyone needs to do their part and take responsibility.
      What we can do
    • Ground Water Once the ground water has been pumped out and depleted, it becomes dry, hard and looks like this. This dirt can no longer absorb water and is stuck in a state of drought… forever!
