Even in today’s high-tech world, radio is a powerful medium of communication: <ul><li>Radio reaches across social barriers. </li></ul><ul><li>Radio can access closed homes. </li></ul><ul><li>Radio reaches people who cannot, will not or choose not to read. </li></ul><ul><li>Radio is believed, more validity to on-air content </li></ul><ul><li>Governments use radio to reach and teach the masses. </li></ul><ul><li>In Rwanda, Hutu extremists used radio to inspire hatred toward Tutsis. </li></ul>“ In terms of the developing world and the sheer number of people who can be reached, radio is far and away the most important medium.” (Red Cross/Red Crescent)
  3. 3. There are 3.3 billion non-readers in the world. Radio reaches virtually all of them.

Godly Partnerships to Fulfill the Great Commission Radio Bible Partners The United Bible Societies (UBS) is a fellowship of 145 national Bible Societies working to place God’s Word in the hearts and minds of the people they serve across 200 countries and territories. Trans World Radio produces programs in more than 225 languages and dialects aired from more than 2,000 outlets around the world, reaching the world for Christ by mass media so that lasting fruit is produced The American Bible Society's mission is to make the Bible available to every person in a language and format each can understand and afford, so all people may experience its life-changing message. Faith Comes By Hearing, the world’s foremost Audio Bible ministry, is committed to reaching the nations with the Word of God in Audio, offering the Bible in a format that will connect with the world's 50% illiterate population.
  5. 5. $225,000 provides one year of daily broadcasts of Old Testament stories, the whole New Testament, and follow up material for each language 100 languages = $22.5 million total The goal of the Radio Bible Project is for people to know the Bible and to apply lessons from the Scriptures to their lives.
