Pimples, Acne Conglobata and Prevention Tips

  1. 1. Pimples, Acne Conglobata and Prevention Tips
  2. 2. Tip 1: The solution to acne prevention is to eliminate the root problem leading to acne. The main cause is the mixture of dirt and oil within skin pores leading to infection (and inflammation), pus heads (also known as pimples), lesions and perhaps even scarring of the skin. The best method to prevent permanent scarring is to NOT pick, push or squeeze on any pimples or building pus heads.
  3. 3. Tip 2: Keeping your hair clean helps in eliminating one source of added oil on the face - the most central point of acne. Oils from hair can not only be rubbed on to the face, but the mixture of oil from hair with facial oil only gives more fuel for the dirt and oil mixture that may lead to acne. Naturally acne can happen on any area of the body. So it is important to first keep all areas of the body clean.
  4. 4. Tip 3: For females avoiding oily makeup is very important. Oily makeup fits into the definition of 'dirt' and only clogs pores which in turn becomes more fuel for acne development on the face. Check the label on makeup for 'noncomedogenic' - meaning the contents does not block skin pores.
  5. 5. Tip 4: Clean any jewelry, headbands, helmets and other head gear after each wearing. Every time you wear jewelry, especially facial jewelry like those for piercings, you transfer a small amount of dirt and oil on to the jewelry. The next time you wear the jewelry the old oil and dirt not only builds up with a new coat but it also allows old oil and dirt to be transferred back on to the face. This only adds more fuel for acne eruptions.
  6. 6. Tip 5: Consume healthy foods. Fruits, vegetables, salads, and mineral water all support skin health. Because cold water fish contain Omega 3 it too is excellent for skin and over all body health. Avoid consuming sugar (especially processed white sugar and white flour) and caffeine. They often result in the accumulation of acne. While there is no proof that chocolate enhances acne development, you may want to consume it in moderation.
  7. 7. Tip 6: Try to avoid touching your skin when eating oily finger foods (burgers and fries) until you have had a chance to wash your hands after eating. While there is no proof that eating certain foods will in fact cause the development of acne, it should be obvious that while eating oily finger foods you can transfer some of those oils from the food on to your hands and then on to your skin.
  8. 8. Tip 7: Males should avoid steroids. This is especially true if you are already prone to acne problems. The mixture of testosterone and steroids may lead to an even higher level of oil development on the skin that only allows for a higher chance of acne development (and even more severe problems not related to acne development).
  9. 9. Tip 8: Avoid stress and get plenty of rest. It is well known that stress often manifests itself in various diseases such as heart disease and, yes, even acne. Sleep is an excellent agent in reducing stress as are quiet and pleasant surroundings. Even a peaceful walk in the sunshine can help, as sunshine provides vitamin D which is great for healthy skin.
  10. 10. Now you understand that dirt and oil are the culprits to eliminate in order to minimize (or even eliminate) acne. If you want to explore what hundreds of others are saying about the #1 acne prevention help you can access that information at: http://ow.ly/764se
