  • 2. Valentine’s Day, also known as Saint Valentine’s Day, is celebrated on February 14 each year. The day is celebrated all around the world. One story says that Saint Valentine was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire. During his imprisonment, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. Legend states that before his execution he wrote her a letter "from your Valentine" as a farewell.

  • 11. Valentine’s Day Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14. It is a festival of romantic love and many people give cards, letters, flowers or presents to their spouse or partner. Valentine’s Day is celebrated in different countries. Most of them celebrate it on February 14, but some also celebrate in June and July. Valentine’s Day is a symbol of love and care. People celebrate it by proposing their loved ones or by wishing their loved ones with their true love.
