Often, companies pay very less attention to their Career Page. We agree that it’s tedious to update new job openings to the Career Page every time but you may drive away potential applicants if you do not have an up-to-date Career Page.
Having an out-dated Career Page is as good as not having a Career Page at all. Both serve no purpose. It’s essential for employers to keep their Career Page up-to date with the latest job openings displayed with an Apply button.
Studies conducted in the past have concluded the importance of having a Career Page. Most of the time, the first things that job seekers do when they spot a job post on a job board is to log on to the company’s website. Then they look for the Career’s Page and the benefits that they will derive if they apply for the said position. If the employer do not have an attractive Career Page, it turns off most of the job seekers. And if the job page is not updated, it gives a wrong impression about the company.
If your Career Website manages to strike a chord with the job seeker, he may even refer his friends / family for the open positions listed on your site.
