History: It’s located on Serra do Cipó, about 150km from Belo Horizonte and 41km, in dirt road, from Serra do Cipó. His population is estimated in 3911 inhabitants Santa do Riacho born with the name Riacho Fundo, because have one stream cruising all city. After some years the city change the name for the name of his patron Santa Ana, a curiosity that be torn Santana.

The geologic history of Santana do Riacho is complex and date of the pre-Cambrian period, with her rocks formed like 1,7bilions of years ago.

After that had some animals types endangered, because of this they create the National Park from Serra do Cipó and Santana do Riacho is located in this National Park. The park had 100.000ha of savannas, rocky grasslands, forests, rivers, waterfalls, canyons, caves, archaelogical sites and some adventures sports.

How to go: By car: From Belo Horizonte: Come from MG-10 until Serra do Cipo, than on the kmXX, entry from D’Elder hotel on your left. Take 30km on dirty road until you are in Santana do Riacho. From Diamantina, Serro, Milho Verde e Conceição do Mato dentro: Come in he Estrada Real, in front of the camping of Veu da Noiva turn right and than follow the signs until you are in Santana do Riacho By bus: Take de day bus fro Saritur (0xx313272-8525)

By car:

From Belo Horizonte:

Come from MG-10 until Serra do Cipo, than on the kmXX, entry from D’Elder hotel on your left. Take 30km on dirty road until you are in Santana do Riacho.

From Diamantina, Serro, Milho Verde e Conceição do Mato dentro:

Come in he Estrada Real, in front of the camping of Veu da Noiva turn right and than follow the signs until you are in Santana do Riacho
